Spy Drones Expose Smithfield Foods Factory Farms
46 million Turkeys will be eaten in the U.S. today.
Turkeys are gentle, beautiful, curious individuals. They deserve to live!
It’s my first Thanksgiving as vegetarian! I’m very thankful I opened my own eyes to the cruelty I was blindly contributing to. Killing a beautiful animal capable of love, survival and affection to give thanks makes absolutely no sense to me.
Here’s a Thanksgiving prayer (from Jainism):
"May we keep our compassion alive by eating in such a way that we reduce the suffering of living beings, preserve our planet, and reverse the process of global warming."
Be kind to everything that lives.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
How NOT to eat your Thanksgiving dinner
LOL
this is so cute! love!
DAY 25!!!
ACCA-Amazing! Days have passed and I haven't even been counting. I thought I was on day 22 if I had to guess.
I feel great! :D
I was drinking pearl tea everyday before this challenge, sometimes even 2x a day! Jasmine Milk Tea ADDICT!
Surprisingly, during my first week I didn't think about it. It's hard! All my friends love that shiz and it's a good socializing thang, esp. for me. lol
Anyways, I decided to do some research on this. From what I remember, when I used to work at a pearl tea place years ago - they use a NON-DAIRY CREAMER. So, I thought to myself oOo! I can have one! It's NON-DAIRY!
Knowing me and how serious I'm taking this Vegan Challenge, I wanted facts!
DEFINITION from wikipedia: "Non-dairy creamers or coffee whiteners are liquid or granular substances intended to substitute for milk or cream as an additive to coffee or other beverages. They do not contain lactose and therefore are commonly described as not being dairy products, although many contain casein, a milk-derived protein."
WHAAAT? so it's not non-dairy right??? WTH? why would you call it NON-dairy?
Check this link out: "Non-dairy Creamers Are Not What They're Quacked Up To Be" http://www.vegparadise.com/news24.html
Wow, the government sure doesn't give a FUCK! (excuse my language) but seriously? if anything, they're the ones brainwashing us to buy all these things that are BAD for us.
So, my next question... What is Casein?
"the main protein present in milk and (in coagulated form) in cheese. It is used in processed foods and in adhesives, paints, and other industrial products."
WOW.. "MAIN PROTEIN PRESENT IN MILK" ?! So, "non-dairy creamers are really not what they're quacked up to be!" This is crazy.
Why let them label something non-dairy if it isn't? BS!
"Casomorphins are peptides, i.e., protein fragments, derived from the digestion of milk protein casein. The distinguishing characteristic of casomorphins is that they have an opioid effect." (wiki)

No wonder!!! This whole time I've been thinking, dreaming, fantasizing, hoping, yearning, salivating, missing, (this could go on and on) about damn you, CHEESE!
#theaddictiontocheeseisreal
mac and cheese, cheese fries, cheeseburger, cheese pizza, cheesecake, cheese errrthang! WHY!!!!!!!!!!
"Opioid effect. It takes 10lbs of milk to make 1 lb of cheese. As milk is turned into cheese, most of its water is removed leaving behind concentrated casein and fat. So, concentrated dairy products, like cheese, have especially high levels of opiates, even morphine."
!MINDBLOWN!
Cheese is a drug. WOW.
and so is milk tea. no wonder they're so addicting!
And they call Disney the happiest place on earth…

Day 21!!! 👏👏👏
I haven’t been able to keep up with my blog. I’ve been so busy with work and deciding on what to cook! I’ve tried a few restaurants and they’ve been all pretty good so far but I’d rather cook my own meals. It gets real expensive!
Tonight’s dinner! Gardein beefless tips with brown rice, sautéed spinach with chili flakes and corn! It wasn’t bad at all. I could get used to the beefless tips. I still feel pretty new at this and getting used to all the different flavors.
I’m almost done with my 30 day challenge. I feel a lot better. I’m not as tired and I don’t drink coffee anymore! I used to drink it every single day! I have a lot more energy. I feel alive! 🙌 It’s been a huge lifestyle change but I’m very proud of myself. I didn’t think I could last this long. No one did! But it feels good to prove them wrong! 😂👊
I’ve lost 13lbs! 💁
Bootea has inspired me to take on this Vegan challenge. It didn’t require to give up meat but it was recommended because of all the toxins they contain.
I’ve been watching a lot of documentaries and it’s disturbing to see what the meat industry really is. Bootea also didn’t require to give up dairy. It included it in the eating plan but as I watched numerous documentaries it pushed me to go the Vegan route. I’ve learned a lot and know too much about Factory Farming. I don’t know what will happen after my 30 days are over… But I don’t see myself eating cows, pigs and chickens ever again.
Veggie Grill @ Santana Row! 👌 I will definitely come back! 😁
Gardein crispy tenders! Yum! 😍
