"Don’t play coy with me, human,” Blurr hissed, wiggling the human in his hold. Lennox wasn’t a threat to him. Did that mean he underestimated him? No. Of course not. He was well aware of what humans in this particular verse could do. Still, he found that they were less of a threat when they were on their own. His optic brightened as he stared Lennox down, as if trying to figure out his next step. He glanced behind him, towards the silent Corvette. Sideswipe had nothing to say? Good dog.
"Yes, well, manners aren’t my strong suit. You see, in my universe, we don’t really need them." They didn’t see the purpose of them. Will’s expression was interesting- a contortion of a grimace and yet, neutrality. It was both a talented look and an amusing one. "I’m standing in a state that my Master will soon harvest dry. Your natural resources now belong to him. We will take whatever we can, give nothing back, and destroy you."
He tilted his helm, finials flicking. "Why should we bother sparing your species? Your species didn’t spare the Cybertronians of this universe." He glared, looking hostile and rather angry. "Tell me, human, did you bother to stop them from tearing what was mine apart? Did you stand up to your own species and cease their experimentation? Then why should we stop for you?” He glared.
"My Master told me that we were not to attack you out of the want of revenge. And though I want it badly, I know that it will only cause chaos. Ahhh, but your precious Prime isn’t here to save you now…”
The wiggle hadn't earned Blurr any particularly warm feelings from Lennox, only serving to jostle his mostly-empty stomach and make his gun waver off target. Idly, he wondered what would happen if he vomited all over this stranger's plating; he had heard the tale of Ironhide kicking Sam's dog more than once and he doubted this mech would be as "generous".
"Hope your master needs a lot of bull shit then. This state's got a lot of it." Technically true, with the added benefit of being deliberately obtuse. Despite the quip, his brain was already listing sensitive locations. Will had no idea what sort of resources these invaders would be most interested in, but he doubted that the sadistic gleam in Blurr's optic would let anything, no matter how useless, go unplundered. Just for the spite of it.
Spite which made more and more sense, the more that Blurr rambled on. Lennox didn't shift his weapon or let his expression soften, but...Roadbuster had been one of the few mechs flagged for interuniversal protocols back when NEST had started tinkering. Sideswipe was alive, so was Sunstreaker...it had to be Roadbuster.
Lennox ignored the twist in his chest as it all clicked together; he was on duty and he kept his eye down the sight. A surrender meant nothing to him if it was the prelude to an execution. "If you're looking for revenge, you're aiming at the wrong human. I'm the captain of NEST and NEST does not abandon our allies." His jaw tightened up slightly before he could manage the next bit. "You've got my condolences. Great comrade and one of the handiest in a fight I've seen."
