“Mhmhm..what an easy challenge. Fire cannot harm a hellhound..”
Though she appeared calm and confident on the outside, she was still panicking about the possible discovery of today on the inside. How could she know if any of this was real or not? Her mind was the playground of that chairman, with how much power he had over her, and perhaps that was why she hadn’t been able to sense him? Perhaps he’d hidden his presence from her in order to keep her from being suspicious?
Her eyes glance over at the supposed teammate she had been paired up with. He seemed like he was preparing to get into this..how interesting.. Hopefully this little event, and her partner, were real.. Hopefully, everything on this island was real, and the worry that weighed on her mind was just because of some unlikely coincidence..
“…What do you believe your chances are to win this, boy?”
Hot coals- Now these goat gods were upping their game. Luckily for Ryohei, a real, extreme man could handle something like this easily. Or, well, that’s what he’d tell himself. Something like this was crazy, but he’d be damned if he wouldn’t jump right into it with all he’s got. That wouldn’t be the Sasagawa spirit at all. While his partner seemed to be considering something else, taking lightly the task at hand, the boxer had gotten himself pumped up for the competition.
“It doesn’t matter how hot the coals are! A real man heads straight for his goals without fail! I’m putting my all into this!”
His body language seemed to confirm the words that left his mouth. It appeared at any moment he’d be ready to take off, regardless of any extreme temperatures.
She could sense his intense aura, which seemed to be growing ever more so as they waited for the event to begin. If he hadn't been human, she might have found it intimidating. However, as he was, she only found it interesting. He was even looking as though he were ready to take off on that path from hell at any given second.
"Oh? Mhmhmhm..~ That is very good, dear..”
“If you do not give your all, you most certainly will not stand a chance against me. With that, I assume you are ready? Let us begin..”
Maybe she'd take it easy on him, and not rush off in a full sprint? If he surprised her with any incredible speed, she'd be sure to pick up her pace.. But winning without a challenge, or losing with no hope was never that much fun, for either party. She wanted to have fun, right now. Having fun would be loads better than everything else she was feeling buried under.
