Welcome to my Jimmy Neutron centric side blog! Here you’ll find all my JN related artwork, headcanons, fanfics, & ramblings! JN has a very special place in my heart, I adored it as a kid and just recently rediscovered my love for it.

I suppose this is technically an AU of sorts, but really more like a continuation of the series, keeping to the canon and whatnot, but also adding my own takes and headcanons. I will also be involving an OC here and there - mostly my villain OC, Dr. Prey N. Mantis.

Also YES - you can certainly leave as many asks as you’d like, in fact… just go ahead and flood my inbox if you want, either for me or for any of the characters! Heck, I may end up drawing responses to some questions if I get the motivation to. I’d love to share my ideas, headcanons, and just general ramblings about this amazing series 💙

Has this blog been abandoned :(? I miss your fan arts!

Hey!!! No no, this blog hasn’t been abandoned! More like it’s just on a hiatus. My fixations have been really shifting lately and I’ve been working on other projects. I still adore JN and I always will, but for now I’m just taking a hiatus from it while I work on other things. Rest assured, I’ll end up being back into it eventually, this blog will never be abandoned! I love it too much for it to be 🫶

Hey, formerly stella-goetia-connoisseuse-yum here (changed my name to be shorter), I was wondering:

Have you considered posting your drawings and any kind of comics to AO3? You can post fics that are just pictures of your drawings and any comics that you do. Along with actual written fanfiction of course. AO3 is THE spot for JN fans to hang out in. I love your artstyle and you’d get way more attention over there. Tumblr is kinda dead for anything that’s not current cartoons (like Hazbin Hotel, Invincible, Inside Job, etc).

You know, I HAVE considered moving Bugged Genetics over to AO3 (when you sent this ask I didn’t have an account there but I do now, I caved and got one), but I’m a bit shy- I kinda like when communities are really quiet and small, it’s less stressful and I feel more comfy. I have a bad experience with huge fandoms…

So the small amount of attention I get here is quite nice, for the time being :) Plus, my AO3 rn is only being used for uh… a little bit of my Drake & Josh writing (remember when I said that I’ve been distracted with fixations? Yeah, D&J is one of them, that show was another of my favorites as a kid and I’m apparently only functioning on 2000s nostalgia these days)

My question for you and all Jimmy Neutron fans: If- knock on wood- we get a Jimmy Neutron revival, what would you wanna see from it?

Ahem okay so that’s obvious XD Besides having Jimmy and Cindy as an official couple, I honestly can’t think of anything in particular other than to keep the same charm as the original.

This is very very key to me because most reboots lose the charm and nostalgia they had in the original and just.. don’t interest me at all. That’s why most of the time I just don’t hope for reboots and stick with the OG. So if they ever DID reboot JN, I would hope that other than CGI improvements, they basically just continue where the series left off (with Jimmy & Cindy actually dating publicly yayaya).

Super underrated aspect of Jindy is the “it’s obvious to literally everybody but them” trope that they have going on! I think the masking/tsundere aspect overshadows this.

In their official character bios it says that (paraphrasing here) “… they have more in common than they realize, but they’re the only ones in Retroville who haven’t figured that out.” Like OMG?!!

That’s why I love “Vanishing Act” and “King of Mars” because in those episodes characters point out that Jindy is obvious and that Jimmy and Cindy are the only ones oblivious to it lol. Especially Betty, a character neither of them are close to, straight up going “I know ALL ABOUT the whole you and Neutron- thing 🙄” is CRAZY.

But also, if you were aware to their thing, why were you still flirting with Jimmy, Betty 🤨?

She’s lowkey manipulative towards Jimmy to get what she wants out of him. In Vanishing Act she drops the nice facade once she realizes that Jimmy’s favors aren’t worth bearing Cindy’s rage.

Not saying she’s evil but she manipulates and acts dense to get favors out of people so she’s definitely not nice either.

THIS!! Yes!! I stinkin love this concept, like it’s so funny that the entire town is completely aware of Jindy and probably have a secret shipping club for them (headcanon lol) Not only do I think they’re oblivious to it, but also that they don’t wanna admit the fact. They’re totally in denial.

Tbh, as much as I can’t stand Betty, I haven’t ever thought of her in a manipulative way like that, but that honestly makes sense… Thanks for giving me yet another reason to dislike her XD Ick. I mean if she was given more development and Jimmy didn’t drool over her so much throughout the series, then I would probably actually like her character. Too bad she’s just there for conflict 🙄

Am I the only one who hates it when people refer to Cindy as a tomboy? Yes, she's skilled in martial arts and is technically more advanced than Jimmy when it comes to physical activities, but she still very much has a girly side. Her entire room is covered in pink, she enjoys makeup and other girly things.

That’s fair honestly, while I get why some people tend to refer to her as such, I agree with you on that she doesn’t really qualify as one in my eyes, lol. I see her more as an in-between really, her personality seems to have aspects of both.

Umm hey guys, I am SO SORRY for like, being dead here for a bit- I got super distracted and busy as heck, and my fixations are all over the place. I feel so bad for not making any new content or even answering asks for a while… But! Line delivery confusion:

In King of Mars, is Jimmy saying “You’re pretty, smart, and smell nice (…)” or “You’re pretty smart, and smell nice (…)” to Cindy???

The comma makes a huge difference. The way the line is delivered makes it sound more like he’s calling her pretty smart as in you are noticeably intelligent. But I’m not sure.

Do you think he’s calling her pretty and smart or just pretty smart? We never really see if he considers Cindy physically attractive or not. We know she is canonically but on Jimmy’s end it’s hard to tell.

English be Englishing with how many ways you can say everything … so a comma can completely change the meaning of an entire sentence 🤣

Oh I’ve also noticed this line confusion before too and even the subtitles lacks a comma, but I feel like he means to say she’s pretty, smart, and smells nice. Context clues are everything, the entire episode is nothing but him being distracted by her looks and lowkey drooling, no one can possibly tell me he’s doing that over her intelligence XD Even in the moonlight part, he says “you look… kinda…” Look kinda what, Jimmy? Pretty? 👀

So I’m certain he canonically thinks she’s pretty, this episode confirms that no doubt! :D

I kind of wanted to add on to what that anon said about Libby not being a supportive friend to Cindy during Vanishing act. I noticed the same thing with Carl and Sheen during JTPH2. Maybe it's just me, but there were times it felt like they were rooting for Timmy or more on Timmy's side. You would think as Jimmy's best friends they would have told Timmy to back off.However, I do think this behavior from them is less surprising compared to Libby, but they're both less emotionally mature compared to Libby.

Oof I answered this one way late, sorry about that 😅 But yeah, I can’t stand that in JTPH. Jimmy is some random boy from a completely different universe, they should stick with their best friend they’ve known for years and ACTUALLY from their own universe.

Just another reason I’m super glad the JTPH episodes aren’t canon XD

Anyone else think Jimmy’s crush on Betty is OOC? The way he turns into a creepy stalker and an idiot is bizarre and not in a funny way. He has a crush on Cindy and other girls before too and never acted stupid. It’s not even funny so it’s not worth him acting OOC. What were the writers thinking? Giving Jimmy a random crush when he already had a main love interest just wastes the audience’s time. Especially when they have nothing in common and he turns into a completely different character.

Ughhh yes this!! I feel like the writers only included Betty just to tick us off lol.

Also if my answers seem kinda short in length, it’s cause I’m trying to catch up on asks and I’m currently under the weather 😭

What do you think of the “Cindy is bi” theory?

I can definitely see how people can interpret Cindy as bisexual.

In “League of Villains”, after Cindy picks up Betty’s photo, she smiles and giggles at it before getting mad.

Cindy always has to bring up how “beautiful” and “hot” Betty is… all the time. Of course, she’s jealous because she likes Jimmy, but it also seems it’s Cindy having a little crush on Betty herself.

Similarly she always brings up Jimmy’s smarts because both of her jealousy and because that’s secretly what she admires about him.

It can be assumed that deep down she admires Betty’s sweetness and beauty, but because of her jealousy over Jimmy and her tsundere attitude, she lashes out at her for it.

People also headcanon that she might’ve had a crush on Libby before.

Whether she’s bisexual or straight, her deepest feelings were always for Jimmy.

Hmm, while I can kinda see how people can think this, I personally don’t really see her as such. It just seems a bit too farfetched for me, Cindy is only ever shown crushing on male characters. I suppose people can look more into it like the points you gave, but as for me I think it’s more black and white. I really just see Cindy as straight.

But regardless, we can all agree on that last statement!
