Sometimes I'm thinking about this one Reddit post from someone who worked as a texture artist on JN movie
To be specific this part lol
One of the most useless pieces of technicaly JN related knowledge I have is the fact that DNA production worked on the CGI part of The Weird Al Show and also produced Fatman cartoon short for it
To JN it is related because they reused specifically design of this character on the left, who later was named Officer Tubbs, in Jimmy Neutron
Concept art by Bob Eggleton
Here is some of the more well-known concept art (some of it made round on twitter some time ago) Many Yolkians on this! You also can find some concepts for Ant Bully on artist site

Fanfact: original page contained 9 images but sadly only 6 were archived (this is why it's a fanfact, nothing fun about it for me)

SMALL STATURE, BIG BRAIN
had this movie / show on my mind since wednesday after rewatching the movie on tubi. designs inspired by the work of @/kianamaiart
Concept art by Bob Eggleton
So, some time ago I started searching for concept art for Jimmy Neutron by going through the artists who worked on, mostly movie, production (I paused for some time, but I have plan to continue), and, as I try to reorganize my archive into something manageable, I decided to start posting my findings alongside it!
Here are some really cool concepts by Bob Eggleton, who worked as a concept designer for the movie. He is also the person that designed Poultra! (she is also officially classified as kaiju by him lol) I actually found 13 concepts, which is actually one of the largest quantities of JN concepts from one artist that a found! (13 in total) Sources: 1, 2, 3
Close up of Poultra for scale. John Davis said "I need a drawing of the monster to scale with the Yolkians. Easy to describe to the studio, but better with a visual"
Miss Fowl and The Worm. This pretty much made it to the film EXACTLY like this in the end shot.
The egg incubating chamber. Note the "maser cannons". Yes a homage to Mothra!
(JN anon) {I'm getting to my reply, I swear} They really love using that one render of Nesmith. 🤣
Black hair Cindy, nice find! Movie teaser trailer only ever had an in-between version where we got striped-shirt, four-fingered Jimmy, but blond Cindy instead. I actually had found someone who uploaded a betacam of that same short this week; final version of it, from an old discovered tape and it's the most high res I ever saw it. (Channel is "Reely Interesting" on Youtube)
As for the poster, wish I could be more help in the area. Could only find the "no photo" version of Spongebob's and Ahh Real Monsters from that series on a print blog. (Nick Animation has a framed photo version on their Facebook)
Oh, apparently there's a Spring Break Nick event happening at Mall of America until April 5th? Caught a new report on KSTP 5's YT channel saying they're going to break some old mascot costumes for meet-and-greets. Jimmy being one of them. (Had also found the Twitter: "Nickelodeon Universe". Has pictures of an old JN ride that was retired)
(it's fine, take your time!) Nesmith is not amused with whatever is going on around him lol
Ah, these shorts in 4k is not something I ever thought I'd see! Now they are in higher quality than movie lol This is also the first time I noticed that while Jimmy still has his 4 finger model Cindy already has 5 fingers, kinda funny
I also found one for Hey Arnold, FoP, Aaahh Real Monsters and Rugrats while searching for JN one and visited original artists site and social medias, but to no luck I actually originally found this poster in "You Can't Do That On Television: The Rebellious History Of Nickelodeon" book, but book scan don't have the best quality
I love how in the first half of this report there is nothing on the background except a person in a SpongeBob costume just roaming around lol (Nice one! Also atom balloons is cracking me up a little)
felt like posting an old doodle of cindy and libby bc it’s pretty silly and i just realized this wasn’t already posted here lol
For some reason it never occurred to me that, when animated films nominated they need to make 2 sets of animations, win and lose And you know how Jimmy Neutron movie was nominated for Oscar? So there actually exist an alternative win animation lol
Ok so here is two interesting videos!
First video is the Jimmy Neutron Presentation Tape. From the video description, this is the first Jimmy Neutron pitch tape created for Viacom What is interesting about this is that, at 2:29 it shows essentially an alternative early version of New Dog, Old Tricks short with an early design (and model) stripe shirt Jimmy AND beta Cindy design with black hair! Also, in this alternative short, it's included Goddard reassembly animation (which is now happening in final short) Then it's shown some shots for an different, early version of, what I can assume, is first version of what later became Ultralord vs. the Squirrels short!
Now, the second one is specifically VHS Jimmy Neutron Behind the Scenes, which differs from The Making of Jimmy Neutron, including some different bits of commentary that were changed or not included in "the making of" Also includes some (really funny I'm sorry) unfinished renders and animations for the movie, new storyboards (including from this one artist I really wish to know the name of) And, at 6:59, there is actually an extended shot from this early version of "Ultralord vs. the Squirrels" short, which is apparently have somewhat different (and possibly not Ultralord included), among other things, includes Nick in it
This early versions of the shorts possibly were made early in production of the movie, judging by Jimmy and Cindy designs. So, there are existing, different, early, and possibly fully or at least partially animated, versions of New Dog, Old Tricks, Hypercorn and Ultralord vs. the Squirrels shorts!

Planet Sheen Launch kit
Ok, whatever personal stance I have on Planet Sheen I still think I should share this one! (credit goes to cartoonfan18 who found and uploaded it on Hughnivers discord)
Me watching how one of the worst updates that I ever saw bean implemented on tumblr
Genuinely who even asked for this
(JN anon) Will respond soon, just wanted to drop this ask to say "NEW JOHN A. DAVIS INTERVIEW SPOTTED" from a few days ago. On the YT channel called "The Zoom Art Studio". I'll probably listen to it later today, but from the little I've skimmed, I think he showed some new concept art and production stuff. (Also, Jimmy mascot jumpscare.)
Found a Paul and a Keith one recently from last year too. On "HalfwaywithJeremyRoden". (Saw Paul's, it was mainly about his current work at Bob's Burgers but there's a few JN bits in there. Haven't gotten to Keith's yet.)
{Feel free to delete}
Oh yes, thank you for the reminder! I actually saw it the other night on reddit (that in itself is surprising), opened a tab with it, and then completely forgot that it ever happened after I woke up lol
Ooh didn't know about that one! Thanks!!
(Nuh, I'm hoarding all unanswered asks lol)
(JN anon) Nothing against memes either, been in my brain since pre-Youtube. But yeah, between those and in-jokes breaching containment; taking things even MORE out-of-context and years-long misunderstandings coming out of it. Some sites are just not good for extensive, critical reviewing.
Technically doesn’t count as “town-disrupting”, but there’s also the camping episode where Hugh’s bravado almost got the kids and himself mauled by a bear. Judy also confirming she had put a tracking device in him at some point. (And this is an episode where an invention didn’t cause the issue)
Generally makes me wonder how a season 4 would have gone, cause I wouldn’t be surprised if episodes began to gave frequent mood whiplashes with scattered breathing room. (Something that can work for the series, but needs very precise execution to pull off. {Think FMA or Soul Eater} Always felt like they try to push their limits each season)
And it gives him a time to reflect. Jimmy can definitely trust others with certain inventions, but if he can’t trust that something won’t go wrong when HE’S the user; you have to do some serious convincing. Which is something to think about when he’s growing more ambitious with age. (Hmm, I chalked it up to lost of confidence, possibly guilt for Libby turning out like that. Killing science for him. He still had the skill, just no drive [or willpower]. Also, since it seems she lost her friendship with Libby and now married to the man whose invention was responsible, Cindy probably gave up on him ever fixing it)
"Jimmy Neutron out off context, but it's a bunch of people on twitter"
Ye, they also get lost in the woods in this one because Hugh is not really good at camping (and navigation by landmarks apparently) The lore implication of Judy putting a tracking device in him is always get me lol Again, I don't take all gags too seriously, because of the episodic nature of the show and if you do try to take every gag seriously it quickly becomes a hot mess (and I largely just joke about something being a lore implication), but Huge being a menace to society is kinda just a canon thing lol
Oh I wonder about it way too often! Mostly because I genuinely have 0 idea how the actual season 4 would be if it existed in our timeline lol But I agree that they really expanded limits and "up stakes" with each season, so it wouldn't be out of character for them to actually up it for one last time for grand finale (that is if they'd know from the start that this is the last season, which, I think, is important for the end result) ((sometimes comparing stakes and scale of typical episode of S1 to S2 and S3 is really funny))
I think it is an interesting thing to think how his ambitions, and by extension inventions, would be manifested in the world in adulthood, like to what extent it open and such I actually found that, in my opinion, the result you get is kinda depends on in what world you put him into, and, I mean this is obvious, but if you put him in more of a OG version, I get that he is more open to the world with his inventions and their availability, but if you modify it into more realistic you get different, more limited results (I mean, this is obvious, but I just found it interesting how the world is affecting it, but I still think that, even in more realistic version, he'd want to put things into the world, just more of a quality of life things and less "space and time manipulation" for general and militarily us and such)
Also a valid one! There isn't a lot of info about how they ended up in this situation to say definitively why he is like this in the bad future. He still has at least some skill but, in the same time, there is moments of him struggling with basic math, and something about how he is animated reminds me about the Normal boy episode, but a bit less exaggerated Also yes, just judging by the fact that she is living in a shed-ex-lab with her mother, she is most definitely doesn't have any "friend privilege" from Libby, this is to say, their situation is pretty sad in bad future (I meant it is the bad dictatorship future after all) Just really hope they have a lot better future and relationship in good timeline (just let my idiots be happy)
“I’ve always admired you, Cindy. To me… you’re perfect.”
More art for Bugged Genetics Ch. 2!! I’m gonna start drawing scenes to go into the future chapters like this from now on because it’s too much fun :3c
MY SHEYLAS
(JN anon) Memes impact on literacy is definitely worth discussion. (Jimmy was literally trying to impress Skeet the whole time, even so much as to embarrass himself in that burger costume. Plus, if you tell a kid that they can’t do something and don’t properly explain, that makes them want to find out why or prove otherwise that they can. A trend that wasn’t limited to Jimmy or this episode)
There was “League of Villains” too when Hugh accidentally sent Retroville back in time with the time wormhole. And dumping off chemical runoffs from Jimmy’s lab in the ocean that caused Snappy to mutate. (Funnily enough, if he wasn’t hyping up Taco Shack, the restaurant wouldn’t have went rogue to destroy the other food chains)
That’s true too. (Probably toss Tails in there too.)
The bedroom android and how he was on Evil Earth still cracks me up. “One of Us” is still a favorite. (I do kinda miss his solo moments too, where he's left alone with non-science thoughts sometimes. Obviously nothing against Carl and Sheen, their trio dynamic is the bread-and-butter of the series. But even that has limits sometimes.)
Gifted child woes. (I can totally vibe with the idea of him being pressured by society to keep outdoing himself that he has to force himself to take long-winded breaks to keep himself sane. Or, he makes a colossal mistake [that wasn’t of his doing; aka sabotage] that causes the world to be worse for wear and send him into exile. But even then, would still want to fix it at least. Like he always has)
I mean, I love memes (and actually use them very often, they have no shelf life for me, I still use some from a decade ago), it just the fact that people use out of context scenes (memes) as an actual argument, while they didn't actually watch the show itself (or watched it a really long time ago). And these meme-based takes just go round and round from one person that didn't watch the show to another, kinda the "This one bad show review that now follows show like the plague" but in bad twitter take format
Ah yes, he is also gave all family money to telemarketers at least once (good thing internet online shopping wasn't as big back then, or there would be needed parental control installed) and used Nanobots as a battery for his toy It runs in the family, or something I suppose
Yes, like, I know that it is, in a way, genre restriction to "keep up a pace" and don't get me wrong this show has done a great job, I just sometimes wish for a bit more moments that let characters "breathe" and actually feel emotions, especially if we talking more impactful plots (for the show, status quo, or character) I just love when shows do this, but again, doesn't mean that JN didn't make a good job even without much of this element
Exactly lol Also I like the "irreparable damage" plots for him for the exact reason that, even if he can fix most of the things, the damage that can't be fixed is an interesting thing to present for his character (also, I mean we don't know why exactly, but it was always an interesting thing to me that Future Jimmy just accepted that he is living under the literal dictator, so I just headcanon that, at some point, there was a brain drain helmet used on him)
