never too late..

My whole life I've always felt a step behind everyone else, most likely due to English being my second language, plus being a real late bloomer didn't help. Overall, I spent most of my life sad despite the great childhood my parents gave us. I thought hope for me was lost. In my early twenties, I got to point where I was too sad for anything, I was living a life I didn't want. Things just had to change. So at 21, I followed my passion and went to art school. I decided it was NEVER TOO LATE. Here's me now, I'm 26, and my life has completely changed. Still a work in progress but nevertheless I'm not settling for anything less than exactly what I am looking for. I really believe passion and art saved my life.

Today, I learned about Zines. I mean, I already knew about them but I didn't KNOW about them. I had a closer glimpse today of what just some of the possibilities are out there  for putting this little piece of you in a self published collected format. I was told by Jeff, the cool dude who is the reason there is a Zine Library is around, he put 50 of his own Zines he already had to start the Library. It was such original work that it was all beautiful. The Zines are amazing. We had an awesome chat about it all and there is going to be more Zine expierences in my future.

Juxtapoz Magazine - The Strange Characters of Diane Arbus

I would love to have an original Diane Arbus photograph in my house. Her photos told stories.

Today's inspiration comes from an artist I came across. I actually collage a lot myself using magazine and this artist is what I would eventually aspire to be at technique wise. The pieces I currently use are large sized but would love to one day to be able to break it down to this point. Stunning and amazing! Check it out!

I'm striving for this.

I'm going to work and strive for this: I want a slower life, I want to work hard for the things that matter. I want to have a day where I can stay in bed all day and have a day where I wake up , put on some random costume and play all day. I want to teach myself to make a beautiful dinner and make sure to still appreciate the deliciousness that is Taco Bell. Del Taco can go to hell. I want to read poetry and live in the rain. I want to make art work because my soul demands it and support my friends art because their vision matters to me. I want to go to improv classes to exercise my humor and brain and I want to enjoy this planet and the beautiful nature it give us. I want to create a home that is simple and elegant and modern and dark and all organic all at the same time. I want to wake up everyday an learn something from other or teach myself something. I want all this so much and I want to share this with people I care about. I never planned on being this alone and hope that one day I'll be able to put my hand out and let someone hold it.

i spend some time thinking about what is in my future and what it might be like and i even still find myself wondering what i want to do for the rest of my life or where i would want to live or raise a family but now all i know is that i want this in my future. 

There will a version of this where ever my life goes.

Trust is like a mirror, you can fix it if it's broken, but you can still see the crack in that mother fucker's reflection.

This is coming about, how I feel most things i'm starting lately are coming about, because I feel like I have no where to turn, no one I want to open up to and so much going on in my head out side of my personal thoughts that I want to put out there and share with anyone who wants to take a look/relate/share thoughts.

I also got a hair cut today and don't know how I feel about it but i'm having a bad day so here's to you internet.
