Happy Mother’s Day – Dzień Matki!
One of the perks of living in Poland is that I get to celebrate Mother’s Day twice in one month! In Poland Mother’s Day or as they say here in Poland Dzien Matki is always celebrated today the 26th of May no matter what day of the week it lands on unlike in the US where it is always the 2nd Sunday in May.

Last Saturday a friend of mine coordinated a kayaking trip down the canal and river that goes through Bydgoszcz. I grew up canoeing so I was in complete heaven when she offered. Is that a Goose?
It is the time of year here in Bydgoszcz where a lot of restaurants serve a lot of goose dishes and I love goose, so I am in heaven now when we eat out. The other weekend there was a festival just outside of town that was all about goose, I was so there!

One thing I have started doing more now that I live in Poland compared to living anywhere else in the world…if I can pick it, I will do something with it. I have done apples, plums and now walnuts!!

Last week we had lots of fun with the girls as it was the end of summer before they start getting knee-deep in books.
One of the days we went to my friends summer house which is about 15 minutes from my house with a few other friends. With 12 kids it was bound to be fun and crazy afternoon and evening!

WR Ceramika is yet another pottery place in Boleslawiec, Poland. Yes, there are still a few more we have yet to explore.
WR has 2 stores in Boleslawiec, the main store located just down the block from Andy’s. The outlet one is next to Trycz.
