i second that ankoku

been the number one diva in this game for a minute 🔥

for the past week ive been constantly thinking about ramshackle in blazing jewel and ive struck gold

yes grim performs with them yes they perform diva by beyonce as their dorm song yes ankoku performs the ballad of jane doe as his solo song yes its peak

thinking about ankoku feeling immensely guilty for azul and vils overblot azuls because he thought he was just playing a game like lukas and his dad always did and so he feels personaly responsible for his overblot and then vil because he didnt participate in the SDC and his brain makes him believe that if he did they wouldve won he just feels like he let them down

ive been changing ankokus b7 dream SO MUCH but the one thing i do wanna stick with is that its at the very end and the overblotters all come in one because i like them and two i like the idea of ankokus "overcoming" moment not being necessarily with his past but with his present like being forced to be together to try and help himself kinda changes his perspective on them and he gets less scared of them

and i also love the idea of it doing the opposite, slowly over time the "im a weak little guy" mask ankoku put up breaks apart and they see not all of but a good portion of the real him he starts getting more snarky and freaked out and irratated and theyre all like "i didnt know he could do that"

book four ankoku and takara

ankoku definitely stays up all night while locked away in scarabia dorm. takara is the one who helps grim dig the hole so ankoku can figure out what the problem is

ankoku has an ongoing journal of everything he finds while in twisted wonderland boy is writing EVERYTHING down and researching EVERYTHING so hes looking at his profile of jamil

anyway ankoku figures out its jamil that night but doesnt tell anyone because he doesnt wanna mess up the plan they had and he also wants to make himself appear dumber than he actually is, he doesnt want his true self to be revealed so he makes sure he stays as the "poor weak magicless student at nrc"

thinking SOOOO hard about ankoku in his own backrooms as his b7 dream

i think in ankokus backrooms there would be a combination of still life creatures and like multiples of The Big Creature (idk the name im #newgen) idrk who the still life creatures would be but i think the Big Creatures would be those whose lives he believes he ruined like takara and his mom

i think itd be like this because like with the movie he didnt believe he was in the wrong and put the blame on others but ankoku does the opposite he blames himself for things that werent his fault and i think that would reflect in his backrooms and the monsters in it

i feel like normally for someone who sees themselves as a monster they would then be the monster in a scenario like this but i feel like the backrooms is more truth-oriented if that makes sense so i feel like in ankokus backrooms those who he believes are his "victims" would be the monsters in a more "look what you turned us into" kind of way

i think the tension and element of fear would be less with the creatures and more with the thought that his dad (the real villain) would be the main monster and is hiding waiting to strike but the entire time that monster is not there

once upon a dream

explanation yap: so lukas has the ability to like get into peoples heads/thoughts and stuff and for the first few years after he got his ability he accidentally torments ankoku's dreams in his sleep

i haven't worked out the actual kinks yet but somehow the artificial sleep from malleus somehow opens the door for lukas to get into ankokus head (he wasn't able to because he was in twst) and so theyre able to actually talk and ankoku tells him everything that happened (also in my mind time moves the same in both universes so ankoku was gone for like a whole year)

as for what theyre doing, before ankokus dad died he and lukas worked for him as a performer for his club both inside the club for the patrons and outside to get new customers so thats why theyre playing instruments and ankoku is dressed like that because his dad sucks
