Let’s make a deal

Summary: In were the reader confesses their feelings towards Mudano but knows what could be the possibility of dating with the Momotaro agency. So they make a deal about the situation and their possible future.

I can’t accept your feelings towards me , I can’t have any distractions if we are trying to have a seat at the table ”  says mudando the man you just confessed your feeling to . You confessed knowing he would decline out of your safety and the situation you guys were both doomed for in the future if this relationship proceeded into a different route. But you still took the risk in order to express your feelings towards him as you couldn’t keep it to yourself anymore as each passing day with him you felt your heart flutter and butterflies dance inside your stomach making knots every time your guys interacted with each other , every time you guys train with each other, every time you guys worried for each other. 

As much as you hate to admit it what he said was true but you still imagine a world were you guys could be together , you can’t blame him but you also know the outcome of this situation with the momotaro group. “I’m aware of that I don’t expect you to return your feelings, just thought …..you should know” you say as you you stare at the night sky of the rooftop you both were sitting at . You knew the outcome of confessing your feelings to him . In reality you aren’t as much hurt after all you are prepared for this reaction since you been around mudano and know him as the palm of your hand since Rasetu Academy days after all you guys were friends before your feelings for him proceeded. “You can call it stupid-“ you say but he cuts your right off “Your feelings aren’t stupid after all it’s human nature…. It’s this whole situation with the momo is” you finally look up at him instead of the view in front of you with sincerity. 

As he gives you a slightly different look in his dark round eyes like there’s a slightly of softness and regret of the situation you are both in. If Mudano knew any better deep in his heart he does have the same feelings towards you but he knew if you guys were together the momotaro agency can use that against the both of you . In truth he isn’t ready for the outcome for either of you to perish in the hands of the war you both are trying to end and destroy for good. After all you both didn’t spent years of training , losing love ones, friends and destroying your own bodies in order to get stronger all that sacrifice would then go where?.

“Do you even think of the outcome of what would become of you if something-“ he was cut off by your stern tone “I know what the outcome would be but I won’t ever allow myself to be killed without fighting with everything I got, I’m not weak you kno-“ , he cuts you straight up with carefulness and percission   “I never said you were weak, I’m saying I can’t have any distractions -“ he stops himself from going any further in this discussion as he doesn’t want to give you hope of being together knowing you can be his weakness even though he did slip up a couple of sentences beforehand. 

You scoff looking down now as a way of hiding your frustration of this entire conversation. You weren’t just frustrated at the momotaro group but the fact Mudano can’t admit his feelings bluntly ,but knowing him this was his way of caring and admitting his feelings towards you which come to think about it makes your bite your lip . As a thought came into mind why are guy guys even discussing this?  when you know where you both stand you chuckle a bit because you know it’s crazy to think about you both are even slowly arguing about this how mature of you , you think to yourself. Mudano looks at you with a straight face not fully sure on what to make of your reaction

“what’s so funny?” he ask with a slight edge to his tone you look up slowly changing your expression to a more subtle as say “I’m honestly why are we even discussing this we both know the possibility of something happening it’s inefficient as you would say” you get slightly close to his face as he has no problem staying in place letting you move more close towards him his eyes looking at yours and your features “so let’s make a deal” you say with a mischievous smirk in which you look at Mudano who has an eyebrow raised still carefully looking at you silently enjoying the view still with a stoic expression“what deal are you referring to?” 

In which you say “If we get a seat at the table with the momo we can get married” you suggest because if you are going to wait for a while you rather go big or go home that was always your mentality now ,you would be lying if you didn’t feel your heart pounding out of your chest trying to act cool and hide in your confidence in which you hope Naito doesn’t notice.

He looks at you with eyes slightly widen “married?” In which you nod trying not to back down on what just came out of your mouth. Mudano knows you are a risk taker so he’s not fully asking why you would skip the dating phase and go straight toward marriage but the thought of it doesn’t fully bother Mudano he just doesn’t know what to think of it. You in a wedding gown in spring- no snap out of it he thinks to himself he can’t let himself get any hopes up as he knows it can come down in a blink of an eye but still the thought of it somehow pleases him. 

He gets closer to you in which you are only inches away from his face “you’re on , try and not die on my watch” you smirk feeling satisfied on his answer “then it’s a deal future husband” in which you pull him more closer and kiss him in to which he reciprocates the kiss.
