Imagine being a Doctor Who fan in 1966 though.
“Oh dear, what’s happening? Is the Doctor dying?
Wait.
What. The. Shit.”

Can't believe there are people out there who dislike Paradise Towers. It has everything. Violent girl gangs. Old lady cannibals. A himbo. Stephen Wyatt inventing "unalive" 35 years early. What more do you want.

what a movie night with the various doctors who would be like:
one: does not like the movie anyone else picks (except for Susan’s choices, those are fine)
two: doesn’t matter what you’re watching, two is scared. anything that is remotely similar to a jumpscare is too much. he is clutching Jamie’s arm for dear life
three: is actually pleasant to watch a movie with so long as it has sufficient cultural cache (or it’s got a lot of car chases)
four: one of those insufferable bastards who figures out the plot twist in the first five minutes and then gloats
five: falls asleep (claims he was just resting his eyes)
six: points out any and all inaccuracies in the movie
seven: figures out the plot twist, does not gloat, tries to nudge his viewing companions into figuring it out themselves
eight: will not shut the fuck up. has a running commentary on everything that happens and reacts with passion even if he’s already seen the movie before. then someone else talks and it’s all “you’re ruining the best part charley!”
nine: claims he’s not actually watching but instead is just keeping who is watching company while he tinkers or whatever (he is watching)
ten: likes to watch musicals and sing along to all the songs loudly
eleven: can’t sit still long enough to watch a movie
twelve: had never watched a movie in his life until he and missy start doing semi frequent movie nights in the vault. he claims this is just give her some variety and he does not enjoy it and that “it’s not a date bill!”
thirteen: diligently pays attention to the entire movie. notices incredibly minor things happening in the background. somehow misses the main plot entirely
how much of Doctor Who have you watched?
parts of it, only Classic Who
parts of it, Classic and NuWho
parts of it, only NuWho
all of Classic, no NuWho
all of NuWho, no Classic
all of Classic, parts of NuWho
all of NuWho, parts of Classic
ALL OF IT

I'm making more of these with different metrics so watch out!

Finished my Doctor Who watchlist. Let’s see how well I do on this.
five easy reasons to watch the second doctor era:
sick of companions all coming from 21st century england? please enjoy this selection of companions from the 18th, 19th, 20th and 22nd centuries!
since half the episodes are missing, theres a diverse range of mediums to watch it in - regular live action, animated reconstruction, or my personal favourite, PowerPoint Slideshow With Questionable Audio
base under seige is only a dull plot if you dont enjoy your blorbos getting put in Situations, which i dont believe anyone on tumblr has ever been accused of
patrick troughton was a stout 5' 7". frazer hines, his tallest companion, was 5' 6.5" - most were noticeably shorter. every other character looks very tall around them, and the monsters of the week look positively, frighteningly huge
i cannot stress enough. that about 70% of the show is just this
one of my favorite bits in doctor who is when someone is like your time machine doesn’t work very well does it and the doctor is like Excuse You, This Is A Type 40 TARDIS That Can Go Anywhere In Time And Space. that’s like if i drove to a place where they don’t have cars but know about them and took someone for a drive and they saw cooling that only works on one setting and heat that barely works and a broken cd player despite the functioning tape deck and shaky brakes and they went mate your cars a bit shit isn’t it and you were like fuck you, this is a 2002 toyota camry, it can drive on roads

Wait, they already came up with the idea of the Doctor regenerating into a former self to revive the show back in 1986?
The Noble Family is BACK!
