How to deal with yourself on tumblr:

I’ve seen some new people in the community within the last 2 or so weeks, and I figured I’d help out.

These are rules that exist on tumblr already,however may not be seen by newer people because they don’t follow all the old lifters, and just a couple.

Don’t make/reblog active lifter posts, you may have turned off your search settings, hidden your blog etc but if someone who didn’t hide their stuff and reblogs it and gets found by antis, you’re in the reblogs. They’ll have a list of active lifters to attack

Hide your likes and following list. If you get found its less likely for everyone you follow to get found if you have these hidden.

Talk to other lifters, this community is so nice to one another, better than a couple years ago from what I’ve heard, use that to your advantage. Make friends who you can talk to about this.

DON’T USE HASH TAGS

If a post has more than 300-400 notes avoid reblogging, it makes it easier to get caught

DON’T REBLOG FROM OUT OF THE COMMUNITY.

Be accommodating to new lifters as well. We were all new at one point, don’t act like an ass to new lifters, you were uneducated once too, educate them.

If you’re posting hauls; remove your exif data (I use an app, or theres websites)

Don’t post photos of yourself (obvious)

Don’t give away your location.

If you’re holding an item for a haul pic, make sure you can’t see any tattoos or highly identifiable marks

PSA about lifting pets

It is actually possible to lift a puppy. This is gonna sound insane. My aunt pulled this off at petco once during one of their big adoption events. I can’t believe I forgot to tell you guys this story. Holy crap.

There was a kennel crate filled with like 5 different newfoundland puppies and the store was PACKED with people. My aunt fell in love with one of the newfies that the SA let her take out. The SA was alone too. Her coworker decided to be a dick and go on her lunch during the busiest fucking hour.

Anyway. My aunt knew this poor guys were probably from a puppy mill or some shit. Or just breedjects (rejected stock from breeders) . So I shit you not. She just picked up the newfie and walked out with him when the SA was distracted. She grabbed one of the fliers off of a near table to make it look like she was holding adoption papers so other customers wouldn’t be suspicious. No one thought anything of it. Just a chick with a dog at petco.

She fucking stole a collar and toys for him too. Fucking most extreme shit I’ve ever heard.

This happened about 1.5 years ago and my aunt never went back to that petco ever again. But she still has the dog. His name is Kronk Kronk is the biggest fucking dork. He’s scared of ladybugs, guys. LADYBUGS.

But yeah. That’s the story of how my aunt lifter a fucking 40lb puppy

There is NO way she got that camera bro.. It’s not on the floor. It’s only sold locked up behind the register. Same thing at Micheals, Staples, and Macy’s.

Target and Walmart have it locked up. And Best buy is the only store that has it on the floor.

Her post is really old, from before they started locking up the cams. The instax cameras are a commonly stolen item since lifters seem to love them. If you notice the box in your picture is the instax Mini 9 while the one in hers is the older version- the 8. My target and Walmart don’t keep them locked up it’s different in different cities. Don’t be too quick to accuse people especially after everything that’s happened on liftblr recently.

It’s important to not take things you read on liftblr too seriously. Just because something is untagged for someone doesn’t mean it won’t be tagged for you and vice versa. It’s best to always scope out your stores to see how they stock the item you wanna lift before you go lift.

For real. The community on Tumblr has been around for YEARS .. & security was way more lax a few years ago. On top of that, only 1 of the Michael’s around me have “display only” boxes out, the rest have the actual cameras. My staples doesn’t lock them up, & neither do my Targets.
