ooc. on phil + rita / post-canon relationships. this is purely as far as my portrayal goes ; i’ll add this as an addendum to my rules later. since i’d seen the show, and i’d assume for a long while coming, i’ve had my own reservations about this ship as a romantic ship. i personally do not believe they stay together for very long after the events of canon. i personally don’t believe phil is stable enough mentally for a long-term relationship IMMEDIATELY following canon. however, i’m also greatly of the belief that although they break up after maybe a few weeks, it’s amicable, and i do believe that if they were to try and rekindle said relationship ( which i also believe they do ) after, say, a month or two, just some time later, it could work out fantastically. to be fair, though, i maintain this goes for any romantic relationship immediately following canon ; with rita or not, i just don’t see one happening immediately post-canon.
