DIY: the CURSE A BITCH edition
So yeah, follow up to this post.
You’ll need: • polymer clay • nails • paints and brushes • a jar • a taglock • salt • black pepper • tabasco • vinegar (the clear kind you use for cleaning) • dirt • gutter water • candles
First I salted all my windowsills and my doorstep with salt to make protect my house. To make sure the bitch wouldn’t be able to counteract, I created a home guardian who acts as a “bouncer” of sort.
Then I made a small poppet out of clay. I tried to make it look as much like the bitch as I could at that scale. Then I drove nails into her, telling her each time why she was being stabbed. “This one is for when you made fun of coworker S”, “this one is for when you bullied coworker B”, “this one is for when you took pictures of me”, etc… I finished by driving a nail in her mouth “that’s to teach you to stop spreading gossips and lies”
I made her look anguished and in pain because that’s why I want for her. Then I baked the poppet, leaving the nails in. I roughly painted it afterward.
Once it was dried, I glued her inside the jar. My taglock this time was a note she wrote me. Her name was even on it, so that was good. I put it inside the jar and lit it up. Watching the flames lick her frame was cathartic.
Once it was done burning, I covered the ashes with salt to ward off her influence and irritate her. Then I ground some black pepper and poured it along some tabasco on her, to burn her. Then I went outside and scraped some dust and hair and dead bugs from the ground and poured it on her, so her reputation gets as dirty as she tried to make mine.
Ew, gross.
I added nails to the mixture so that every time I shake the jar, she’s hit by the weight of what she’s done.
Then I filled it to two third with vinegar. At first I wanted to use the cooking kind, but in the end, the cleaning kind made more sense. I mean, she’s a huge disgusting stain on the surface of earth, so… I topped it off with some gutter water because that’s where she belong, and spat in it three times, thinking about all the crap she had done to me and the others.
Once I was done, I just sealed it with wax and placed it in a dark place where it never sees the light of day.
I poured some salt and pepper on top of it, hence the grains. The color is a lot grosser irl, haha.
Anyway, there you go: how to curse a bitch.
you have to follow up with the shitstorm that hits her later please
Lots of shit happening already. She’s making mistakes. My coworkers were all scared of her before but now people are starting to taaaaaalk~
yasss witch power baby
Since you wanted the follow up: everything is slowly spiraling into chaos and it’s hilarious as fuck.
At first it was just me telling my bosses about how she’s been treating me (can’t just count on magic to solve my shit!) but little by little, the rest of the team joined in. Especially since she keeps slipping up and treating our coworkers like shit.
Weirdly enough people don’t like being talked to like they’re stupid or bossed around! Who would have guessed???? :)))))))
Her BFF/righthand girl bragged about monitoring our lunch break (despite having denied it before) to a coworker… And right after that she fucked that coworker over by not letting her get her afternoon break. Guess who went to the bosses and told on her?
Also something happened yesterday. It wasn’t my shift so I don’t know what exactly but my manager told me it’s safer if I don’t know and that it would prove to our bosses without a single doubt that they were both the ones causing trouble in the team.
You could say it’s a “two bitches one stone” situation, and I’m just in the midst of it like:
This post has been making rounds again, so I figured I’d tell the end of the story! :D
So I went into sick leave for a while. When I came back… Toxic Coworker had been promoted. Not the post she wanted, she’s not our team manager, but still. It was a bummer. I thought my curse had failed and… considering my shaky belief in my own magic, that wasn’t a good feeling.
That would be a pretty disheartening story if it ended there but it doesn’t so don’t worry :D
The days went by. But then, I started noticing little things. For example:
Because of her promotion, she has to run errands around and therefore is pretty much never around my workspace and I don’t have to endure her presence anymore.
She’s in charge of customer service so clients call her all day long to scream at her. How does your own medicine taste, I wonder? <3
No one in the team will hang out with her anymore, or even acknowledge her existence. That doesn’t seem like a lot, but compared to pre-curse time when people kept forgiving her despite being treated like shit, the contrast is striking.
Our managers are all pretty mad at her because she keeps ordering them around so she gets called out every time she crosses the line. It’s pretty hilarious.
Her time schedule is shit. She complained before that our team’s schedule (tuesday to saturday, 9am to 6pm) was preventing her from spending time with her husband. Now she works every week-ends and from 2pm to 9pm. So absolutely no time with him. Also she has to be available at all time so our bosses can call on her if they need her there. So that means no way to plan anything at all. Welcome to Service Industry Hell, love.
I can’t begin to tell you how hard it is not to cackle when I hear her complain. It’s not what I expected but it’s deliciously ironic that the promotion she worked so hard for was her downfall. In retrospect, it makes a lot of sense that my magic would work that way, it suits my sense of humor to a T.
So yeah, that’s how you curse a bitch, kids.
There are not words for how happy I am to finally have the whole story for this!
how have i never seen this before
YES! THAT’S HOW YOU FUCKIN DO IT!
mirror hex 🪞
a hex to have a target feel the trauma that they have inflicted upon another
items:
compact mirror - go grab a cheap one from the dollar store [the kind that's just two mirrors, or a compact with a side that's blank; don't waste makeup for a hex lol]
taglock
tealight candle
black thread or string
small box
optional: anointing oil
optional: pen and paper
instructions:
if you have it, anoint only one side of the inside of the compact [the blank side if that's what you have]
write the target's name on paper; use a photo; draw a picture of them; etc.
set ⇡⇡⇡ inside the compact [the side that has the oil, if you used any] facing the mirror and close it
set the candle on top of the closed compact; light the candle
write your petition, focusing on your intent, and carefully burn it using flames from the candle [just an idea, this is what i do: use the candle to set the thing on fire, and then set it inside a mini cauldron or other fire-safe bowl]
snuff out the candle and dispose of it in the trash when cooled
wrap the mirror in the thread/string - tie it off
set the closed compact in the box; store in a dark place to allow the spell to manifest
as always, be safe and don't burn your house down!

“You Cannot Touch Her” Curse/Binding
This curse is particularly for people who have done harm in the past, and as such already known to be a potential threat. The idea is to keep the person from speaking to or approaching the one you’re trying to protect, and to make them feel watched and judged for their past actions.
You will need the following:
A jar big enough to hold a poppet
Some kind of poppet - I used a wooden one with the offender’s name written on the bottom. A photo could also be used
White out
A black candle
A mixture of black salt & cayenne pepper
A sigil of your own design meaning “You cannot touch [name or pronoun]”
A permanent marker
Light the candle and white out the mouth of your poppet. Roll the poppet in the mixture of black salt and cayenne pepper (black salt tends to stain so keep this in mind). Place it in the jar and seal the lid, leaving the poppet inside under the gaze of dozens of eyes. Write your sigil on the lid. During or after all of this, say the following aloud or think it to yourself (change pronouns accordingly):
You cannot touch her. You cannot speak to her. Think of her and bring this curse upon you. May your tongue catch in your throat if you dare to reach her. May you burn and ache if you come near. May you feel eyes upon your back each time you think her name. They’re watching. I’m watching. May you forever question the gaze of others - Do they know the things you’ve done? I do. I curse you. I bind you. You cannot touch her.
Stash the jar in a dark place, like a closet or a cabinet (I don’t recommend burying jars). Let the candle burn until it extinguishes itself.
Bleeding Crown- A Curse
to take away the power of those that have abused it, and make them weak
Write down the name of a person who has abused their power on white paper.
On the same paper, write how that has made you feel. Pour all your anger, betrayal, disappointment, etc. into it.
Put the paper in a jar.
Add animal teeth (or thorns), grave dirt, stinging nettle, and red liquid of some sort. As you put each ingredient into the jar, imagine it taking away their power and cursing them. Lid the jar.
Put a (non-flammable) representation of their power on top of the jar’s lid. It can be a crown cut out of aluminum foil, if you like.
Put a red candle on top. Light it while saying:
“I cried for mercy; you ignored my pleading.
You had your crown, but now it’s bleeding.
You must learn that power is fleeting.”
Once the candle has burned down, do with the jar as you see fit. Throw it in the trash, keep it around so you can keep charging it with your intent…
A Long List of Ways to Spiritually Protect Yourself
(Updated from this old list here.)
Shielding is not an easy craft to master, but there are many ways that are incredibly powerful with just the slightest trust and a little bit of practice. As soon as possible, start to practice shielding and methods of spiritual protection. You never want to just wait for a time that it’s critical. Also, you can never shield to much. It’s amazing and very empowering to have layer upon layer of shielding, and the energy and time you put into shielding will really save you a lot of energy and time in the future. Even just walking around, through crowds, cities, etc, drains your energy–negative energy is everywhere, and consciously seeking only the energy for your best and highest good will really, truly, and completely empower you.
You can shield from anything and everything, just make sure to allow in things for your “best and highest interest/good.” Cast every shield with this affirmation. This allows what people would consider “negative” emotions to still come through, so you can live a balanced life, since not all emotions that are considered negative actually are. This affirmation effectively only allows things that raise or balance your vibration, and help you to spiritually evolve. It won’t cut you off from anything necessary.
Robe of White Light:
Focus for a moment on calming yourself, and once you have a clear mind, imagine a nice fluffy robe around you (I always imagine one like in the game Journey) made of white and protective light. This is the universe’s energy, and nothing ill can penetrate it once it is surrounding you.
It is recommended to repeat once or twice a day to maintain the shielding.
You can also use the affirmation of “I call upon a robe of loving and protective white light, knowing that it will protect me from all energy not in my highest interest. This robe protects me with the power of the Universe/Source/God.”
Guardian Protection:
Ask your guardian spirits (either aloud or through your mind) to protect you.
Always command that the guardians who help that they “come in light.” And if not, say they must leave. You don’t even have to know their name, but if they aren’t here to help, then they shouldn’t be around you. So just command this and all with ill intentions will be forced to leave.
Call on them for a need by need basis.
Auric Hardening:
Imagine your aura (trust whatever color you see in your mind’s eye), and then imagine it hardening, like it’s calcifying around you. It can get as hard as a rock, or like armor.
This can sometimes push away any energy exchanges, so you could feel more distant from positive interactions too. So, it’s best used when a threat is around
Usually lasts between 4 hours-2 days, depending on the strength of your intention.
Sigil warding:
Draw with a pen, marker, or with the tip of your finger (if you don’t need visible lines) a sigil with the intention of protecting yourself. A sigil is most basically an energetic line (or series of them) with an intention. The lines hold the energy and magnify the intention.
Here are examples
A post on sigil crafting
Shielding with Intention and the Universe:
Calm yourself with a short breathing meditation, then focus on what you intend to shield-yourself, another, or a place.
Imagine casting a ball of light towards the designated target, with the intention of allowing the Universe/Source to channel through you and shield whatever you intend to.
Just watch and observe as the shield is built, knowing that it is fully fueled by the energy of the Universe and will stay there, and stay strong, until the shield is released consciously by you.
You can specify this shield for certain purposes, like to only keep a spirit out, or to keep all negative spirits out.
Reiki Shielding and Protection:
In Usui Reiki, there is a technique your Reiki Masters should have taught you about warding and cleansing the room in white light. Channel Reiki energy to do this.
If you are attuned to Reiki II, you should know the 1st symbol and that it can be used to stop all energy that is not in your highest good from coming towards you, working as an effective shield when the symbol is called on.
You need to be properly attuned to Reiki for this.
Bubble shielding:
Similar to the white light or shielding with intention, but focusing on making and empowering a bubble around you.
Replenish this as often as possible, since this is dependent on your own care.
Can be in an oval or a sphere shape. If this is hard to get a hang of, then try just fitting it a couple inches away from your body, similar to auric hardening.
Waterfall shielding:
A bubble shield with the intention of existing on top of an underneath bubble shield.
Focus on this shield and set the intention of having it move around like a waterfall. This way, someone sending negative energy has a very small chance of hitting the same place twice.
Elemental shielding:
All of these are built with a specific intention and visualization of the shield. Time around such element used will strengthen the shield, or a conscious meditation to draw the energy towards you and the shield.
Fire shield: Envision burning fire, that will destroy all negative energy/energy not for your highest good, when it tries to enter your energetic space.
Water shield: Similar to the waterfall shield, but with the visual of actual water flowing that can wash away all negative debris or toxicity clinging to any form of bubble shield underneath it.
Earth shielding: This one can block off positive energy too, since it works more like a layer of earth around the person. Though, it can also be envisioned to only grow/manifest around you in times of need or when you’re being attacked or faced with negative energy. It can also block your third eye from seeing outside. Earth shielding can also work as a means of grounding you, which doesn’t have negative effects (as long as you don’t neglect your upper chakras). If you ground yourself to the earth, and your are harmed or shaken by negative energy, you can replenish your energy from the earth.
Air shielding: Envision a fast current of air around you that sweeps away all negative energy or malevolent beings.
Light shielding: A bright white light that totally purifies all energy that contacts it, similar to the robe of white light. Different colored lights can work too, but they all have specific purposes that you should research first.
Ether shielding: Sometimes this works like a portal, transporting all malevolent energy to another place in the universe. Just make sure to set the intention that things in your best and highest interest aren’t affected, and that the travel won’t severely harm anyone who is transported by the portal (since sometimes negative energy can come from just someone in a bad mood).
Chaos shielding: Not always considered an element, but with the idea of scattering any negative energy–the sudden increase in entropy raises the vibration to something more positive.
Shadow and smoke shielding: Imagining either element around you, mostly for cloaking and making your energy less obvious. This is great for astral projection and spiritual travel when you don’t want to be noticed. You can infuse the energy with an intention of how you want to be perceived, like if a threat comes, then you can suddenly raise this shield and make the smoke cause you to seem dangerous, scaring off the opponent.
Halo shielding:
Imagine a series of halos that spin quickly around you, moving to knock away negative energy if it approaches your space. This can be inside or outside of a bubble or light based shield.
Protection charms and enchanted objects:
Work made by you, when you have a lot of experience, in creating a sigil charm or enchanted object meant for protection. This can also be from someone who has passed down a family protection amulet (just research it and bathe it in light to clear any possible negative energy on it), or from an experienced energy worker making protection amulets, charms, or objects.
Some are religiously charged, like crosses, pentagrams, etc. If this matches your belief, your belief will empower it.
Protection Methods
A few of my personal methods, and by no means a complete list.
Salt, rosemary, and water wash. Combine salt, rosemary, and water into a large bowl. Visualize protective and cleansing energies entering the bowl. Be specific in what you want to be protected from. Use the wash around your home, especially doorways and windows. Create protective sigils using the wash, if you wish.
Chalk sigils. Draw them on the foundation of your house, sidewalks, underneath floorboards, or in the walls if you’re remodeling your home.
Wards. Used to defend against specific things, and keep them away. ~ Hex signs - circular painted symbols. Different patterns and colors have different meanings, but you can always create your own. ~ Spider houses - specific spaces designated for spiders to live to keep away insects and other creatures that are pests or feed off of energy. I use rocks, boxes, and small flower pots, and draw protective sigils on them. ~ Alerts - sound makers hung outside of the home. They alert you of possible harm, and defend against it. Chimes can be purposed to do this. You can also create your own using various items, such as string, wire, beads, shells, bells, anything you can think of that makes noise.
Witch Ball. Clear balls hung up around the home to capture harmful energy, that can be cleansed.
Witch Jar. Jar filled with broken glass, nails, pins, and whatever you feel will protect you. Seal it with wax and bury it in your yard.
Charm bags. Bags filled with protective herbs and items. If you don’t have sachets or fabric, you can use a coffee filter or paper and string or ribbon. Hang them around the house, in a vehicle, or even carry one with you.
Amulets. An item worn, usually jewelry, purposed to protect you from specific harms, such as illness, jealousy, or unwanted spirits.
Glamours. Glamours are intended to make others see you how you want to be seen, or not seen. They can be as simple as a chant, “I will travel unnoticed,” “I will blend in with my surroundings,” “Others will not see me.” Focus on this energy, and push it out of you to create a barrier.
Energy Shield. Choose an element that you feel connected to, and visualize it creating a protective shield around you. For instance, you might visualize yourself surrounded by fire, waves, lightning storms, or tornadoes.
Protection Candle. Charge a candle with protective energy. Visualize the energy as an egg, growing around the candle, yourself, and your home. Light the candle any time you feel you need added protection.
Ask for help. If you work with spirits, ask them if they’re willing to help protect you.
Alternatives to cursing someone who means harm
This post is not intended as curse/ill-intended spell shaming. This is for anyone who is uncomfortable using a curse for any reason. In my case, I don’t like to curse people I live with, and the deities I worship are very specific about when curses are appropriate, so I have to have alternatives on hand.
All associations are based on my personal practice and research.
I do not write my spells down when I create them (I am a fountain of bad witchy habits), so most spell links are from natural-magics lovely collection.
1. Cast a protection spell
The first step to handling someone you cannot curse should always be to increase your personal protections. If you can’t interrupt the flow of harm, you can build up your protections to at least make it less painful.
Runes: Elhaz (to protect and maintain dignity without a fight), Thurisaz (to resist/fight passively), Dagaz (to hold back darkness)
Spells:
Protection Charm
Elemental Protection Spell
Golden Mist Shield Spell
Knitting Spell for Protection
2. Cast a ward
Protect your living space from them as well, particularly if they are likely to attempt to approach your home/room.
Runes: Inguz (the protection of the hearth), Dagaz
Spells:
Ward of Protection
Earth Protection Ward
Threshold Protection Spell
Hell Hath No Fury Protection Powder (A personal favorite)
Four Gates Ward
FOR THE NEXT THREE SECTIONS: I tend to work by feel on the fly, so I had a hard time finding written spells to accomplish these tasks. I encourage writing your own, but linked spells to give you an idea of what you’re working toward.
3. Cast a spell of understanding/teaching
If you don’t feel right cursing them, making them understand what their actions have caused might be more your speed. It’s important to the healing process or creation of remorse.
Runes: Sowulo (stark illumination in the dark), Kenaz (the light shed upon new knowledge), Ansuz (the truth)
Spells:
See the Light Spell
Spell for Mental Clarity
Knowledge and Wisdom Spell
Study Star Spell
4. Cast a spell of remembering
I especially like to have people who’ve harmed me consider their past, how much kinder they once were, and all of the good people they have left in the dust. I know such instances of rememberance make me more compassionate, and hope it has the same effect on them.
Runes: Gebo (gratitude/love for those that have helped you become who you are), Eihwaz (endings and beginnings, the doors of choice)
Spells:
Spell to Make a Relationship Stronger
Introspective Knot Spell
5. Cast a spell to call their better traits forward
This is what I go for when nothing gentler works, and there is no way I can remove them from my life.
Runes: Mannaz (support from shared experiences), Berkana (rebirth/revitalization). If they come from a tradition of service or goodwill, Othala (inherited cultural wealth) could also work.
Spells:
Sweetening Spell
Charm to Draw Out a Latent Talent
How To Enchant Items
You can enchant just about anything, given the right amount of energy. I like to use symbolism (I.E., I enchanted a pen so that when I wrote with it, inspiration would linger and I could write more.) when enchanting things.
Here is a step-by-step how-to on enchanting.
Step 1: acquire the item.
Step 2: plan it out. What is your intention? What do you want this magick item to do for you?
Step 3: begin channeling energy from your source of choice into your body.
Step 4: hold your hands hands/wand/mouth/whatever you use to channel over the item and begin pumping it full of energy and intention.
Step 5: keep it where you know it will be useful.
And that’s it. It’s fairly easy and depending on the item, pretty quick too!

A few ways to protect yourself when casting curses, hexes and bindings.
A few people have told me that they are afraid of a curse, hex or binding coming back on them. So, here are a few ways that I protect myself from this happening and a few herbs that will help with this as well.
First, my process for deciding that a curse, hex or binding is necessary is as follows:
I consider what the intended cursee has done. Do their actions warrant a curse, hex or binding? What would the appropriate curse, hex or binding be? What would be going above and beyond that appropriate level?
It is important that the curse, hex or binding be absolutely deserved. If there is any doubt in your mind as to whether the person deserves the curse, hex or binding, do not do it. Be absolutely sure.
Thoroughly consider the appropriate level of curse, hex or binding. I know several death curses, but I have yet to use one of them. Very few actions warrant a death curse. Generally, a binding is sufficient. But, if the actions of the cursee have caused a tremendous amount of trouble, then a hex or curse is probably deserved. I find that remembering Hammurabi’s Code is invaluable in this process; An eye for an eye…
So, it is my opinion that if you can without a doubt say that someone deserves a curse, hex or binding and that curse, hex or binding does not go above and beyond the scope of what the intended cursee has done to deserve it, then all should be well. That has been my experience. However, if you feel that you need that little extra protection…here you go.
Pray to your patron deity. Tell them what has been done to you and that you wholeheartedly feel that this curse, hex or binding is deserved and appropriate. Ask them for their help in the curse, hex or binding and for their protection afterwords. Wait at least 24 hours before you perform the curse, hex or binding to make sure it is absolutely needed.
If you have the means, you should cleanse your space with Frankincense, Myrrh, Cedar, and Sage. You can just use one, except for the Myrrh, or mix them all together. Do this daily, until you feel that it is safe to stop.
Take a Holy Herbs Bath. This is a sachet of Holy Basil, Lavender, Rosemary, Verbena, Thyme, Rosebuds and another herb of your choice that is related to protection that is placed in a steaming bath. It will cleanse you of negativity better than any besom can!
Make a Mojo Bag containing the previously mentioned herbs, and include Red Sanders (Red Sandalwood). Hang it atop your front door or the door to your bedroom.
Tie Devil’s Shoestring to your headboard to drive away evil. (From Anna Riva’s Modern Herbal Spellbook.)
The herb Rue is said to protect whomever possesses it, but when given to or placed near someone else, it hexes them. This would be a good herb to add to any protection herb mix.
Holy Basil is considered an omnipotent herb, and a very strong herb for protection. Consider carrying this around at all times, or keeping some on your altar or above your doorway.
Add a protection clause into your incantation when you speak the curse. Usually, it will go something like this: “This curse is deserved, no harm shall come to me or the ones I love…" Of course, you can word it however you want.
A trick I learned early on for protection is to simply tie a white ribbon around your wrist while you perform the curse. To further that, you can tie a white ribbon to your door knob for a similar effect.
If you are still uncomfortable with doing a black magick curse, hex or binding, try a white magick binding. I find them to be less effective, but it is really up to the magician. I won’t say there is no chance of anything coming back from that or that there is even less of a chance, but it is all about the psychological difference between white and black magick.
One of the great things about any kind of magick is that a lot of it is psychological. If you tell someone that you put a curse on them, they start behaving as if they are cursed, even though you know that you DIDN’T really curse them! So, maybe just make a witch’s ball/jar with a few sharp objects and lemon juice, then place it on their property where they will find it. No incantation, no writing, just something to mess with their head. That will have no consequences as far as magick goes. Make sure to wipe away any fingerprints so there are no legal consequences as well!
This is by no means an exhaustive list of the ways to protect oneself from the magicks that you inflict upon others. There are many more spells, herbs, sigils, symbols, rituals, oils, incenses, baths and teas out there that can help to protect a magician from magicks cast by other magicians and by themselves. If you have any specific questions, send me an ask, and I will do my best to answer them!
Hex Breaking and Protection
When someone is putting a hex on you or cursing you they are actively manifesting negative energies/entities and sending them your way to cause emotional or physical harm. These are just a few ideas of mine to help get rid of those negative energies and protect yourself from more. If you are unsure if you have been hexed, cursed, or if you just are getting bad vibes, here are some indicators there is some negative energy:
1. You feel fatigued even though you've taken good care of your body today and don't have an illness.
2. You feel off emotionally or mentally and you know its not from medication or illness.
3. You just feel kinda icky and can't explain why.
You can always ask your pendulum or cards if you've been cursed or hexed or if a negative energy has chosen to mess with you.
Hex/Curse Removal:
I find the most effective way to get rid of negative energies that make you feel physically ill is to do an egg cleansing. You take an egg, fill it with a healing intention, and rub it counter clockwise on your body from your head to your toes. Get a clear cup, fill it with water, and crack your egg into it. You can look up how to interpret the yolk in the water to better understand what's going on but when you're done just flush it all down the toilet.
A purification bath or shower can help wash away negative energies, especially if you use lavender soap, oil, or dried lavender. Other herbs you can include in your bath are:
Rosemary
Thyme
Basil
Fennel
Hyssop
Peppermint
Rose
And Valerian Root
Another idea is to give the negative energy and offering and simply say "I free you from having to cause me harm and I wish you a good day."
Protection:
Wearing hagstones and hanging them around your house can protect you.
Cleansing a space with sound, your own energy or smoke.
Hanging bells around your house like on your altar, above your bed, and above doors.
A protection charm i came up with for my cats that can be changed according to your own intent:
You will need:
• Three white oak acorns (can be swapped out for a jar, or other large nuts with big shells)
• White string
• Glue
To ward off intruders:
• Chilli pepper flakes
• Salt
• Rosemary
• Catus
For pet protection:
• Red clover
• Rosemary
• Fennel
Take the tops of the acorns, cut the tops off of the acorns with a serrated knife. Take out the nut inside making it hollow.
Place all your ingredients inside, charging with your intention and then glue the acorn shell to the acorn cap securing all your ingredients inside.
When dry, draw a protective symbol on each acorn and tie white string onto the tops and make it into a little ornament to hang by your front door.
Hi, do you know any uses for olive oil and Himalayan salt in witchcraft?
Salt has been used for a long time as a cleansing and purifying ingredient in spells ( and a yummy one in foods). For centuries it was seen as a luxury, something pure and good. Many people use it for protection such as sprinkling it around the threshold of your doors to keep evil spirit from entering, or placing in the corners of a room to trap a malicious energy that has been bumping about. Salt can be put into a spell jar, sprinkled over a tarot deck, used as an offering, or added with intention to a dish. Casting a circle in salt is super old school as well. As far as Himalayan, there is nothing particularly special (in my opinion) about one salt over another but if that one feels right to you- then use it. I sometimes will use the pink Himalayan if the protective thing I am doing includes love, because pink, or sea salt for a spell related to the element of water. Salt is...it's used A LOT. Both in magic and real life.
Salt: purity, protection, cleansing
Uses: Spell jars, wards, circles
Warnings: It can kill some plants and animals, and may not be safe for every method or with certain ingredients.
As for Olive Oil I haven't really used olive oil for any of my spells before so I defer to kitchen witches on this one. One blog told a story of her Italian grandmothers use for olive oil saying: "She’d grab a white bowl and fill it with water, and then slowly drip olive oil into it. If the oil gathered into globs as you’d expect, you hadn’t been cursed. But if the oil scattered around the bowl frantically, girl, that’s the eye. To cure the bad vibes, she would chant while opening and closing scissors above the bowl. Then, she’d drop olive oil into a clean bowl of water, and if the oil stuck together, the evil eye was gone."
I would continue your research by picking up a book on Kitchen Witches to continue your studies since this sounds like a direction you're interested in!
And if anybody else has anything they know, feel free to add on to this!
Prepping for a spell
It is crucial (if you want to have good results) to prep before spellwork. Here are some ways to make sure you reach full magic badassery when doing a spell:
1. Spend time being positive. Thinking positively will get you in the right mindset to perform a ritual. This is especially helpful when doing self love and healing spells. For a large ritual start improving your mood as soon as a week prior to the spell. If you are doing something simple, modify your train of thought an hour or so before you begin casting.
2. Meditate. This is also one way you can achieve method 1. Meditating helps clear the mind of negativity and aids in focusing. Light a candle, silence any technology, turn off the lights, and breathe. With every breath you breathe out envision negativity exiting your body. With the intake of air envision breathing in positivity and universal energy.
3. Get clean. One of the best ways to make sure no negativity makes its way into your spell is to simply take a shower/bath. Not only will you be physically clean and refreshed, but you can use some simple cleansing energy to get rid of anything unwanted. Use a shower scrub (extra points if it has herbs with magical properties !) and scrub away all of the nasty blocking energy all the way from your head to your toes. It helps me to envision the energy leaving my body as black or dark grey liquid pouring down the drain. Next, stand under the water and let it rain down on you. Imagine it as golden liquid light; surrounding you and charging your spirit. If you are in a bath, immerse yourself in the water and do the same.
4. Prepare. Gather all of the supplies you are going to use. Place them in your space and make sure you won’t be bothered. One thing that I also like to do is pick out some witchy/comfortable clothing. Our clothes change the way we feel, so make sure you feel powerful and comfortable. You can also even enchant these beforehand.
5. Don’t doubt! Never doubt your own power. You are the key to your own success! Take a moment and remind yourself that you are a badass magical bitch and you get stuff done.
You are now ready to get out there and perform your ritual! ✨
