17. There was never an Inuyasha-Kagome-Kikyo love triangle in the manga. There was never a competition between Kagome and Kikyo for Inuyasha's feelings in the manga. It was always Kagome all the time. And whoever said Inuyasha fell first and fell hardest was 💯

#yeeesssss #omg the anime really played up the love triangle and it's honestly kind of exhausting #I don't enjoy watching the early scenes especially #the manga was so much softer about all of them treated them like multifaceted characters with pain and dreams and motivations not hatred #I can enjoy it from a fandom perspective as it's borderline canon just take your foot off the gas omg #but if I'm forced to pick give me the story where Kagome always knew how Inuyasha felt about her #and Kikyo complicated things bc she was a literal zombie unwillingly ripped back into life and no good person would just walk away #without trying to make sure she was okay and doing everything possible to get her back to a place where she doesn't have to fight anymore #let Kikyo rest in peace pls #but the way Kagome and Inuyasha's souls or energies just called them to each other before all else #they are literal soulmates your honor #it was always meant to be them #inukag #otp: born for you
