what really wrenches my duodenum is that undertale was made with the intent of merely being a programming/gamedev exercise before toby made the game he Actually wanted to make, which was deltarune. and undertale ended up becoming a top-10 most influential indie game of all time. the fact that act 5 comes out so soon is making me insane with anticipation and there's still 2 more parts after that
I don't really cross-promote my YouTube/Patreon stuff here on tumblr (i consider it more of a personal account), but here's a new track I'm very proud of! It won my first Request Vote over on my Patreon (in which all tiered supporters can submit a request - from a specific song to a wider artist/album for me to take my pick from), the submissions are put to a YT community vote and the winner gets a cover/remix from me.
It was def the biggest song project I've worked on in a long time, it was great fun (and also a pain, learned a lot of fresh lessons from this one), and I'm really happy with it so I'm sharing it here for once!

I've decided to become the world's first quadrillionaire.
I consider myself worth that much, so I will be splitting myself into a quadrillion shares and I will be keeping 99.99999999999% of them. At this valuation, if one of you will purchase my single public share for $1 it will confirm my value as based in market reality, and therefore make me richer than Elon Musk.
Combined with my existing plans to blow up the moon, which will no doubt generate further trillions of dollars of share value through R&D that I will pinky promise to do in the future this is a very solid plan which I'm sure everyone's retirement funds will be more than happy to invest in, potentially driving any return on investment from that $1 share to well in excess of a billion dollars, so you would be a fool not to invest.
Using my newfound wealth I will personally build a rocket and send every Silicon Valley CEO to mars, and we will finally all be free.

I'm in a little local cafe and the women behind the counter started griping to each other, "Oh Christ, Stephen's back again," "It's him, is it? I thought he'd stopped coming," "It's definitely him, look, it's bloody Stephen on a Thursday morning," "Do you want me to get rid of him or are you going to do it?" and so I was peering outside, trying to spot this nightmare customer, this pestilence of a person, this pox upon the cafe trade, and then one of the women from behind the counter ran outside, clapping two trays together loudly and yelling "GET OUT OF IT, STEPHEN!" and it turns out that Stephen is an absolutely gigantic fuck-off seagull who hangs around outside, menacing people for crumbs

Sitting here watching the delivery tracker app as the little icon of the car very slowly increases in width while remaining in the same spot knowing it's just a glitch of some kind, but, like, imagine.
Peering sourly at my phone like "ah shit, they sent the Wide Car again".
I love when it decides to correct a desync between the app and the location, so it just shows the car doing a blues brothers through several culdesacs and a lake.
Was about to fall asleep and apropos of nothing was struck out of nowhere by a horrible future vision of a brightly-lit and saccharine 3D-AI Calvin and Hobbes movie with Scarlet Johanssen voicing the mom and Chris Pratt voicing Hobbes and experienced an emotional haptic jerk so chilling I feel like I just foresaw my own death

this is what I mean about how right now in the united states (won't speak for elsewhere but feel free to lmk in the notes if you'd like) a lot of us trans adults who are able to access transition care can only do so at the direct expense of trans minors. this clinic would not have opened if they held the line and offered equal access to healthcare to trans minors.

a lot of the structural transphobia we are experiencing is hitting minors even worse. their care gets banned first. if you want a preview of what access to healthcare will look like for us trans adults in 2 years, look at what access looks like for legal minors right now.
please have the compassion to show them solidarity now. do for them what you hope a cis person will do for us. like at the very least, talk about it.
