Being Diagnosed and having Medication to help me function is so weird.
I’ve been on Ritalin for over three months now and it still amazes me how much i can do now.
I just uploaded my Cv and applied for a few jobs, soemthing i haven’t been able to actually get around to doing for the past year, and I just did it. In one go.

update; i got the job!!! yesterday marked my 1 month of working there!
yall i just had the wildest realization. i was reading this dumb book i got from the library called “does everyone have adhd?” and there was this one part where it talked about love
it said that when you fall in love sometimes your adhd symptoms will subside a bit because of the raised dopamine levels in your brain and that just. blew my mind. ive always had problems with crushes and feeling like love will complete me and struggling with the fact that i feel happier when i like someone and its literally because of adhd

ADHD culture is failing all your current exams, because executive dysfunction and stress are not a good combination..
(Being 100% serious here, i literally just failed my english language exam today due to the inability to focus on the textual source. Half my grade gone. two eight markers with points that i began, but couldn’t continue because i had too many thoughts and ideas rushing about, check. A 20 marker with the words “i agree with this statment” as the only thing included because I could’t fucking focus on the text, check.
Why did the exam board give us a source with minimal paragraph sentences and a whole ton of extended sentences, literal hell. I was sat there for 45 minutes just trying to read the stupid extract, i want to cry/
I’m so ashamed and frustrated because i’ve gone from consistent 8′s down to what will barely be a pass now, english is my best subject, or was, and it’s super upsetting knowing that it’s gone so badly, that i wont even be able to make a 5)
The goal is simple - we thank Hussie for everything he’s done for us. For all the updates, all the people he’s met, everything he’s had to deal with - for making Homestuck. He made something far bigger than he could have imagined. I think it’s time we thanked him.
