Photographing twins is both fun and challenging. And when everything clicks, it's so rewarding! My favorite part is when mom and dad get to the first photos of their new babies. Theses two are only about a day old and I was lucky enough to capture them.

Living in New York City comes with a whole host of challenges: Getting pretty much anywhere in the city means at least a two hours round trip subway ride; windows that face something other than a building directly across from you are highly coveted; and figuring out where the east side ends and the west side begins is a game changer.
With the city in lock-down, simply getting food became a challenge, as shelves of local grocers were already emptied days before the city was shut down. Leaving your building to get food could mean opening three doors before even getting to the sidewalk. How do we navigate through our new reality?
Faced with this new normal, I wanted to document the feeling of isolation inherent in city living coupled with the optimism that many of my friends and neighbors embody. In the end, three families came to their doors and brought with them New York’s resilience.

This is what a local's commute into Midtown looks like. Buckle up for a little adventure and follow me as I take you from Washington Heights, way up on the northern end of Manhattan, through New York City's MTA subway system, and into Times Square. Oh, and dive in wearing your headphones!
