FLASHBACK FRIDAY! Members Only jacket - Remember that rainbow on the label and tag?
In the early 1960s, a group called The Pendletones adopted their name in honor of the surf uniform of the day: Pendleton shirts worn over tee shirts with khakis.  The original lineup included brothers Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine.
But of course, the record company had something to say about it...
The Pendletones became The Beach Boys
I love em either way.
The surf uniform... Pendleton shirt. Â Â Khakis. Â Â White Tee. And don't forget the board.
Summer's almost here! There's still time to plan your beach wardrobe.

SPRING | SUMMER 2015 - Modamont
DELIRIO PARADISE
Tropical exuberance. Hyper pigmented colors, Technicolor artificiality, saturated, intoxicating tones and iridescent mirages combine in a flamboyant and exuberant polychrome.
Here's the reblog - these colors are so tropical without being kitsch.
These leather flower trims from Premiere Vision are amazing - they remind me of one of the color stories from ModAmont. Reblog coming up!

SPRING | SUMMER 2015 - Fashion Snoops
Take a look at the must have colors, our Top 10 for the women's market as confirmed by the recent runways. For Spring/Summer 2015 we've divided our women's colors into families by tones, including Barely There Powders, Desert Neutrals, Kitschy Midtones, and Regal Darks. Barely There Powders present the most dominant color family this season, and update icy tones from the past few seasons. Our second favorite family is Desert Neutrals, which stand out because of their tonal richness. Kitschy Midtones confirm our Visionary color forecasts, while Active Brights remain at the forefront this season in intense casts. Regal Darks speak to the continuation of jewel tones from Fall with hues like bottle green and burgundy.
SPRING | SUMMER 2015 - Fashion Snoops
Get a glance into one of our favorite Menswear color palettes for Spring/Summer 2015: New Neutrals. There's a new group of colors that keep showing up each season, no matter spring or fall. These masculine hues that include indigo blue, dry sage, earth brown, heather blue and vineyard make up a group that has quickly become the "new neutrals." This super-saturated palette is easily paired back to brights, pastels, or even true neutrals for a refreshingly complicated experiment in styling that resonates with today's contemporary menswear customer.

JUNGLE LUXE
Tropical prints and oversized hats bring thoughts of Polynesian Tiki culture. Those are found married with leopard prints over retro cut suits for the Jungle Luxe story of the season.

WHITE SANDS
With emphasis on metallic trimmings and cutouts, the whiteout trend finds itself understandable rooted in white. The other colors come in similarly lighter hues: sand, sea foam and beach sky. Silhouettes appear body conscious and revealing.

SPORTIF
Bright pinks, light blues and yellows couched in stark whites with black highlights make for a graphic sportif trend. Stretch mesh and soapy matte jersey and an undercurrent of athletic sensibilities round out the mood.

SANTA MONICA
It’s a color blocked redux, this season sees saturated reds and bold blues done in scuba-like materials for the beach. The result is a look clearly inspired by a retro version of Santa Monica and the California surf lifestyle.
We love these silhouettes from Premiere Vision!
Welcome to a joyously iconoclastic spring summer, masterfully infused with the beauty of handles and convergences of light and color. A fashion season where softness stimulates, senses invigorate, emotion fortifies and cheerfulness provokes. A season where freedom overturns rigor, harnesses teeming ideas, propagates fantasy, dictates delicacy, imposes refinement, unfurls volumes and gives rise to thrillingly juxtaposed silhouettes.

LOGICAL
A color theme that stands for the challenges we face in modern life, for novel technologies and innovations, for research and science and the virtual network of the 21st century. The colors range from shades of grey to a blue tinge – pale as a cloudy sky, fresh like aqua blues or navy shades dark as night.

EMOTIONAL
By contrast there is care, understanding, empathy and warmth: a theme about relations, networks and love where we care for our body and travel to the inner depths of our soul. There is only one color family that covers all of these emotions: red! From delicate, pale skin tones to fiery red hues, and rounded off by dramatic dark shades.

NATURAL
Going back to the roots of our existence, we see our planet with lush, tropical rainforests, fantastic flora and fauna as well as dried-up steppes and barren landscapes. The palette starts with light neutral shades and develops through warm yellow and green tones into natural brown hues.

IMADE
Devoted narration. Making something unique for myself. Playfully attentive. Spontaneous expression. Mending in focus. Show creativity and give personality to the clothing; darning as an embellishment. Re-awakening age-old techniques add value to memory; paying a tribute to quality as you only repair items of worth. Ever rising importance of micro fashion companies producing one-off garments. A fascinating hybrid of personal and general.
