X-men fans, is the new Wolverine game a departure from how these characters operate or less of one than for most other superheroes?
From what I've seen of the X-Men, they'd be horrified by the sheer amount of people Wolverine's killing in that gameplay segment that got shown off. I know Logan specifically gets alot darker, and of course in his past as Weapon X he killed tons of people, but I'd always thought that joining the X-Men was supposed to be him trying to leave that behind him. And obviously someone like him would still be the first to ditch the no-kill rule if it was regarding a real threat, but in that trailer it was just goons with guns, easily dispatched, and yet every single one of them died rather brutally. And when Jean Grey showed up she just immediately started helping out and setting up for combo kills, with this clearly not being their first rodeo in dealing with these villains. Maybe I'm just not knowledgeable enough about the source material, but from all I do know it just seems needlessly bloodthirsty.
In general, itās kinda inconsistent Iād say, one of wolverines most infamous moments his him absolutely butchering members of the hellfire club and he does kill most of them but given the situation no one rags him on it from what I remember. Mostly cuz he was saving kitty pryde.

I kinda hate when people say Denji fumbled Reze... It's a funny joke don't get me wrong, but also it's not funny at all because ??? Denji did everything right!!! He did everything right! He was perfect! He made the Russian spy coming for his ass to fall in love with him! He was polite and sweet and a bit wild and she liked it. She empathized with him. He asked her to run away with him, even though he initially loved someone else, just to escape their cruel world together. And she WAS into it.
Denji did everything right! He's a sweet, funny boy that goes with the flow. Everyone who's not [redacted] likes him after they get to really meet him!

Hellboy as a character is one of the few instances of a character from sci-fi or fantasy that to me at least works as biracial representation. The biggest reason to me is actually the adultification of hellboy in the hellboy and the bprd comics. in the ones spanning from 1951-1957 heās still a child, one in a much bigger body to be sure but so many moments happen that remind you that he isnāt that old. My favorite example is in family ties where he literally asks his dad for money to get his hands on limited edition lobster Johnson stuff.
The adultification was really noticeable in 1956 when Margaret, a woman who once acted as his caregiver, kinda dismisses him without thinking as he seeks comfort for his dog passing away.
As a black man I feel connected to hellboy in this way, the moment my voice dropped I was immediately treated differently even as a 13-14 year old who was not that tall or imposing. Idk it just really gets to me
