What it looks like when two enthusiastic judoka are trying to trip each other

In case anyone cares, I managed two books today! Now the next real problem affecting my productivity is my sleeping habits and my continuing addiction to my device.

I am the absolute worst when it comes to reading, I borrow about 10 books from the library and then read at most a third of the way through one of them in a period of three weeks, so I'm happy to say I finally bit down and read through an entire book I borrowed in one sitting. Hard to fight the temptation to take a break and procrastinate. Yay me

You know you've done a bad job of character design when all the protagonists blend into each other and the background. Has the empire destroyed all the bright colour tanners and bright pigment makers? Do the rebels not have access to soap or water of any kind? Are the rebels all depressive angsty teenagers? Do none of them care one bit about looking presentable? They're not even looking particularly badass or ominous or anything, just boring. The result of a very lazy colour palette. I've heard this is supposed to be a darker film that puts the emphasis on the WAR of STAR WARS, but take a look at photos from the Second World War, which Star Wars clearly attempts to emulate, and you will find much more importance attached to appearance, much more individuality, and people who actually look like they belong to a military. Or look at paintings of the Independence fighters in the war of American Independence and you'll see they live in a world where colour and cleanliness exist. If every Star Wars movie from here on out starts taking the Used Universe concept to this I am worried. Used Unvierse does not mean the characters go out of their way to make their possessions ugly and low quality.
