i dont care about my parents loving me or not but i also do care deep down about how they feel in general i guess because i dont want them to feel “disappointment” and i know i just need to maintain an image that they can falsely perceive as something that they can be proud of which is not really them loving me obviously but maybe thats what you have to do when you dont want to hurt people who arent actually capable of loving you for what you are
