Niamh's vampire story: info post

so, you may see me posting about characters and settings and general stuff from a vampire story I'm working on (it's eventually gonna be a comic. eventually.) this post is intended to have all the info you need so i can link it on all my posts about this story rather than having to reiterate myself a thousand times.

-Basic Info on Characters-

Oliver Payne, m, vampire, main character, emo, 15(ish) but probably a bit older, skateboards, graffiti’s stuff occasionally, born a vampire

Finley ‘Finn’ Parker, m, human, main character’s best friend,15, enjoys fencing and playing guitar

Mikey Jones, m, vampire, punk dude, ollie’s housemate & older brother figure, 19 when he died, born in 1910, born human

Darian Kimmen, m, vampire, new, annoying,rich, kinda elitist and snobby but he gets better.

Mia Richardson, f, human, has a crush on ollie, popular girl

Harriet ‘Harrie’ Collins, f, the smart one, her father is the chief of police, knows what's up

Victoria "Vic" Smith, f , 22, works at a pub, witty, i love her and Mikey's flirting that they only slightly disguise as bullying

-Basic Info on Plot-

Vampire Oliver Payne finally must deal with the consequences of his actions

He lives a double life. Most of the time he’s Ollie, he likes music and doodling and joking around with his best friend Finn.

And when he goes home, he becomes Oliver with fangs and blood dripping from his lips and an unbeating heart. He becomes a killer a bit of a petty criminal.

Balancing the two can be tricky, but for now he has managed to keep both worlds separate. This is until someone new arrives at school, a pale boy called Darian Kimmen who hasn’t quite figured out the whole ‘keeping his condition a secret’ thing yet. Our hero finds himself essentially babysitting while dealing with his own growing bloodlust, his friends’ human troubles, and the vampire council breathing down his neck.

-Other details-

if you haven't guessed already, Oliver and Darian will end up being gay for each other

and Mikey and Vic might also end up together- they meet because Mikey decides he wants a job and he goes to apply for a job at the pub she works in, he gets it (he's literally the only applicant) and they have some fun banter (originally genuine but pretty quickly becomes mostly thinly veiled flirting)

Mikey was born a human and turned in 1919 after fighting in the first world war. As he was turned rather than being born a vampire he kind of has a lower status than the other vampires, but he doesn't let them give him shit.

guys i have a new favorite character in my vampire story

this is victoria (nobody calls her that. her name is vic) and she works in the pub that mikey ends up getting a job in, about halfway through the main plot. she may or may not be a love interest, or i might make her gay, i haven't decided yet (we already have two idiotic boys falling in love, why not two girls? however i do really really like her and mikey) she's very sarcastic and fun and mostly dead inside due to living in a shitty flat with 4 other people and working a minimum wage job most nights. she's about 22 i think. i love her

made some of those "starter pack" things for two vampire ocs from a potential show/comic that i've been thinking up for a while!!

not as happy with this one (i rushed it a bit)

mikey's backstory: was born Michael Jones, a human in london, around 1910 to very poor parents, got sent to war when he was 18 and never saw his mum again (this is a big aspect of his story: he never got to say goodbye to his family and that haunts him) he had 4 siblings: 3 older brothers and a younger sister. all of his brothers died in the war and his sister volunteered as a nurse. he was 19 when he was bitten and turned, and trailed along after that vampire for 3 years before he got bored and decided he was sick of him. spent a lot of time travelling from place to place. he likes to tell people that he only really started living again in the 70s, when he finally went back to London and discovered the wonderful world of punk rock. he likes to boast that he once punched Sid Vicious in the face. he wandered around for a bit, smoking, drinking and sniffing whatever seemed the most fun at the time. he learned the guitar and dyed his hair black and covered his clothes in spikes and shitty home made badges. but all good things come to an end and then the 90s and 2000s rolled around and the subcultures he made his home in started to fade into the background. he met Oliver when the boy was 12, an idiotic little kid on the street with a sharp tongue and sharper fangs. he's been an older brother of sorts to him ever since. they moved around from place to place a lot at the start, but they eventually settled in a shitty house on some random estate where people tended to mind their own business. the vampire council keeps them afloat, but only because he has blackmail of most of the members.

Oliver: he was born a vampire, and he's kind of the main character of this potential story. he was a bastard child, left on the streets at the age of 11 when his mum died, he managed to get around, stealing and managing on the rats that scuttled around in the various alleys and under the various bridges where he slept. then he met Mikey, who gave him a roof over his head and some ideas about the world, and everything got a whole lot better. they went out at night, stealing and vandalizing and generally being fucking idiots. Oliver is now turning 16, and although him and Mikey aren't blood related, they might as well be. he has the same penchant for chaos and they like the same music and aesthetics. he goes to a high school and acts like a normal human teenage boy for the most part, and at night he's a bloodsucking, window-smashing vampire. (he's also gay as fuck)
