She was born from a wealthy family.

Like any other in Night city, where rampant corpos get lost in the sea of statues when the leash of their masters get tangled with another... Let's just say that V's parents were tangled in early that resulted in V's adoption with Jenkins.

From age 10, she was used as a labrat for Arasaka's human prototyped cybernetics in secret. Jenkins showed her the life of a counterintel soldier.

at 17, she was put to the test; to chase down rats in New Mexico. Jackie helped her out of the kindness of her pockets, of course.

5 years later, she finds herself getting tangled with another corpo, this time in the sheets. It was fiery and passionate, up until he turns tail and sells her to the scavs. Which case wasn't so successful as Jackie tracked her down by order of Jenkins.

Together with River Ward, Jackie found V half awake by the iced tub plugged into the net and trapped hostage for information. It took them 12 hours just to get her to safety. And after that, V kept close with Jackie.

Took her another 5 years just to understand that she's nothing but a tool to Jenkins. And after being abandoned, it was Jackie yet again who swoops her off the slums of Night City.

One of my most favorite characters throughout the series because he was so fleshed out from the first to the third game. As the player, we've seen him in his saddest moments and as the Inquisitor in the third game, they were his beacon through this mess. Even the companions knew how much he's been through and respected him despite being an ex templar.

Ashalle Andrale Lavellan

"Dear friend,

Her past is a riddle to anyone and yet when the Inquisitor looks at her, anyone would see sorrow and admiration. She supposedly trusts no one but goes to Commander Cullen for her needs. Somehow, this is normal, even the companions will nod to her direction and confide in her the same way they do to the Inquisitor. Do you not see how she quickly rose to the ranks in just a few months?

Eris Lavellan

Daughter of Arinyla and Tamlaros. Grand daughter of Deshanna and Ghil'ad. One of the direct descendants of the emerald knight Lavellan. She was tasked by Deshanna to make contact with the humans gathering at the conclave. Being the leader of the Inquisition was not part of her plan as she wanted to look for her sister, Ashalle after. Regardless, she proved to be the perfect example of a leader, being bred and taught to be the representative since birth.

She was beloved even within the clan. But not without faults. She would often compare herself to her sister's greatness and despite being favored by all clans, does not agree that she should take Ashalle's place. Her only defense was she was the result of the great research in the making; the generation with the best genes to harbor magic.

I bet you can all fill the blanks about him in the comments with all the Solas hidden lore.

In terms of romance, he loved Inquisitor Eris Lavellan with all his heart. He's talkative about history and theories but never talks about himself. Nothing is known and even the spymaster could not foresee what chaos he had planned in the game.

Ghil'ad Lavellan

One of the last direct descendants of Lavellan from the Emerald knights. He was raised as the Keeper's First and is purely interested in research of elven weapons and herbalism. His efforts made it possible for the creation and innovation of accessible weaponry for the disabled. His brain and technique made his name and his clan rather high in terms of heirarchy and reputation.

During the interclan gathering, the elders of the clans made various attempts to matchmake his partner. One in particular who stood from the rest was Deshanna from clan Istimaethoriel who took interest in him not because of his intellect but because of his efforts to be who he is. With her powerful ascendance in the clan, the elders backed his decision to make Deshanna his partner as they both lead clan Lavellan for a prosperous engagement.

Keeper Deshanna Istimaethoriel Lavellan in her early 30's.

By now she's easing in her early 70's but doesn't look any different apart from the love handles and smile lines.

In her 20's she was engaged enthusiastically to Ghil'ad Lavellan. While she was the runt of her clan origin, she took great lengths to get far as to compete for his hand in marriage. In this effort, he too supported her advances and made it easier for the keeper in his time to approve their match.

It was both her and Ghil'ad's intent to adopt Ashalle but with her duties as the keeper, she instead convinced Tamlaros, her son, to raise her. During the times she was not as busy, she would groom Ashalle to be 'first to the keeper' so as to support her stay within the clan in any case that magic was proven plentiful. She had and the childhood so similar that she treated Ashalle as her own.

A rendered portrait of Tamlaros Lavellan

The only son of Keeper Deshanna, he was trained to success the head of the hunters in Clan Lavellan. He and Arinyla were promised together as a genetic experiment of the Dalish elven kind to produce children with powerful magic. Arinyla giving birth with Eris and Dina is the promise that maybe someday, elves will reclaim the power their ancestors had.

When immortality was as simple as breathing.

While he disagreed with the concept of it, he still genuinely loved all his children equally and was hands on in raising each and every one of them. Even Ashalle whom he adopted at Arikaya's deathbed.

Tamlaros Lavellan

He's the biological father of Eris and adopted father of Ashalle. He never treated any of his children differently. Always there to guide them to the ways of a Dalish elf. He is the only son of Keeper Deshanna and while his genes promise the making of a powerful mage, he did not inherit it; averting his interests to swordfighting and archery instead.

His wife, Arinyla, was against his decision to adopt Ashalle. And for 8 years this prevented them from seeing eye to eye as their marriage was publicly shown to be arranged by both clan Lavellan and Andrale. Regardless, he raised Ashalle like his own and promised that she would always have a place within the clan whatever the elven body thought of her.

Arinyla Andrale Lavellan

Head of the conservative faction within Lavellan. They represent the ideology that the Dalish clan should keep away from worldly politics as they have no reason to socialize with nothing to gain. As such she shows great discomfort discussing with what happened to her sister and how Ashalle was born. She also shows great disapproval towards her despite being favoured by the clan leader, Keeper Deshanna.

Arinyla, the Inquisitor's mother. She was Arikaya's blood sister from the clan Andrale. She married into the Lavellan clan as a replacement for Arikaya. She birthed Eris, the Inquisitor, into the world 8 years after Ashalle's birth and Arikaya's death.

She's known to be a warm and strict person. Highly conservative and refuses to deal with the other races. She's the head of the faction within Lavellan clan that is against human relations. It is also a part of the reason why she hated Ashalle.

He didn't get to see his daughter grow up as he left the clan before her birth. He did leave a magical dagger from the ruins as a keepsake.
