you don't understand what nick valentine's little character design details do to me. the devs gave him black metal eyes with static irises instead of falling into the trap of thinking he needed to appear "more human/more emotive" than other synths. his skeletal hand is also his dominant one, aka the one giving mean right hooks for 100 years until the skin broke off. they looked at his color palette of tarnished silver, ancient streetlamp yellow, and various grimy shades of brown, and decided he definitely needed a pink logo. neon pink specifically

Finally picked up Fallout 4 again and finished the Nuka World DLC. And while it wasn’t my favorite, it did inspire some personal headcanons that brought this art into the world.

I think story wise, I see Nuka World as the Sole Survivor’s mental break. Likely after whatever Institute outcome you choose. I loved the idea of Roxanne (my SS) running away from her problems and responsibilities, not telling anyone where she’s gone, and ending up the Overboss of a bunch of Raider gangs.

Nick Valentine, synth detective, obviously comes after her to bring his favorite former icicle home 💘

hi guys ‘m back. Was figuring out how to use lines and line weights to capture Nick’s features and was failed miserably,but here are my pathetic attempts,enjoy;))) Nick’s face is a mystery. I’ve done several paintings (which I’m satisfied with) with heavy brushes and layers,mostly because he’s got incredibly many details and textures on his face. It blurred most of his features,so I struggled with”what the hell does his nose look like?!” 90% of the time. Less details would make him less”Nick”,so I would say the best approach is to focus on his expressions rather than his general synth feature(not that he is not human).
