Totally rocking this today, makes studying and life in general a little more bearable.
Just a good jam. A mainstay in many a playlist of mine. A big shout out to Borderlands 2 for pointing me to this amazing song from an amazing band!

Jessica: This is fun, and I am thoroughly enjoying myself, mostly forgetting all of the horrible tragedies in my life. Nothing bad could happen now.

Hands down my favourite song by my favourite band. You donât have to love it, but I do suggest you give it a listen.
Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.

Paying to Stress
Nothing better than the feeling you get when you realize you actually spend absurd amounts of money to attend an institution that has done nothing but increase your stress levels in the name of âhigher educationâ. Though I may not be using my time to the best of my ability, (I am writing a Tumblr post...) I feel as though we arenât actually being âtaughtâ anything. The professors lumber up in front of the class and regurgitate the same uninspired dribble that they have been regurgitating for the past decade or so, back when they were entrusted with the education of young, impressionable minds.Â
At my school in particular, we are coming off of a strike that I thought was going to consume our entire semester. This didn't happen, but instead we are left with a compressed semester and in some cases, limits our weeks of lecture from 14 to a measly 8. I love getting about 60% of what I pay for, especially when it worth thousands of dollars and affects the majority of my adult life. Like I dont know about the rest of you, but when I buy a house, I like o get the foundation, half of the walls, some plumbing... but no roof. After paying in full.Â
Getting 60% of an education when the issue was not instigated by the students is inexcusable. We were treated like bratty, entitled children throughout the ordeal, not like the paying clients we are. However, this individual strike is only a small battle in a war against the current structure of Canadian post-secondary education. Which I happen to agree with, just not at the cost of that same education.Â
