Things the Commander has canonically eaten, ranked

1-Tasty meat, Blazeridge steeps.        Self explanatory. It’s good meat!! Good enough to give you magic. Eat this. Please eat this.

2- Fragrant Cactus fruit, Silverwastes        It’s fruit I guess. I know what good meat tastes like but I don’t know what prickly pear tastes like so. It says in the description it smells good, so that’s promising.

3- Raven Tonic, Snowden Drifts        It’s booze with a neat party trick, turns you into a Raven! How fun is that! However it is ale that turns you into a raven, so it can’t be higher than actual food.

4- Morgan’s Orchid, Caledon Forest        All of the descriptions surrounding this say that eating it is a transcendent experience. But also that’s a flower that you just ate. Why did you eat a flower. What the fuck.

5- Skrittsburgh Special, Brisban Wildlands        This is some kind of booze. It’s apparently rancid smelling and has some fur in it, and it was made by Skritt. That alone should clue you in to how I feel about everything else on this list, since this is “edible.” It’s described as a “thick hearty beverage.” and really seems like more of an acquired taste, as long as you are a weird goblin rat. The reason it’s this high, is until after you drink it, it’s descriptions are neutral. The Commander needs to be stopped.

Some of my screenshots from day one of Tyria Pride! This was the second time I've made it, and I was able to attend the Cmaj concert before it started. It was absolutely wonderful - peeps are just so dang talented.

One of the (many!) highlights for me was the fact we picked up a couple of people along the way.

A new player approached us as we entered Snowdon Drifts, and asked what was going on. When we explained, they instantly joined the march, and I managed to see their character across multiple maps, all the way to the stopping point in LA. Another person chimed in that they just downloaded the game that day, and were completely blown away that GW2 has a pride march.

I was also lucky enough to be in the same shard/server as one of the ANet devs on a couple of maps, and again, it's just so uplifting to know that despite being a fan-organised initiative, it's not only sanctioned by the Devs, but actively attended.

And of course, seeing the rainbow of Commander tags across each map (and the way everyone swapped so perfectly to form the trans flag in Wayfarer Foothills!) was just beautiful. Absolutely perfect evening.

Anyway this disability pride month I would like to shoutout disabled folks whose creativity has suffered because of their condition. I’m talking people with hand tremors and pain that stop them from drawing, knitting, and playing instruments. People whose thinking has become so disorganized that nothing they write makes sense to other people. People with chronic pain who can no longer dance. People so over medicated in a fruitless attempt to maintain stability that the wells of their imagination have run dry.

I see you and I love you. You are more than your creative output. You are not a shell of what you used to be. You are a whole, complete person, regardless of what your creativity has been, is now, or will be in the future.

Honestly, Tvyek is pretty miraculous. It’s permeable to water vapor but not to water, it’s nearly impossible to tear, but can be easily cut. It’s cheap and made entirely without binding chemicals. In addition to being used for wristbands, it’s used to wrap construction sites to keep out water during construction, for tear-resistant envelopes at Fed-Ex, coveralls for mechanics, and my wallet, actually.

Fun tip, though it looks like paper, Tyvek is plastic, and cannot be recycled with paper.
