i'm sorry muschietti butchered richie and eddie's characters enough that you were willing to settle for such a shallow line and you actually believe it had any emotional impact, when in reality it was just a throwaway line referencing a bad joke, as opposed to eddie saying "don't call me eds," a callback to a very sentimental and emotionally charged nickname said throughout their childhood which king used and referenced regularly but muschietti almost never used

might i continue to point out: richie is kicking bill with both legs. which means he’s completely air born, and mike is holding him up. because stan- is just like, pretending to hold richie back an actually isn’t helping mike at all:

listen......it’s all cute and sweet that some people wanna hc that richie or bev wrote the v on eddie’s cast but like.......that takes so much away from eddie and the fact that he went home and did it himself! that was his idea!!! he grabbed a red sharpie and sat down in the kitchen and put a big fat v over greta’s handwriting because no way was he going to let her get the best of him and if he couldn’t get rid of the word he could change it into something better. so he did! eddie did that! that’s his handiwork! his own heart and cleverness and determination and you will all respect that!!!
