Rainy mood feels
I want to be so cool and stylish that I can just leave photos of me around LA that get repurposed for wedding decorations. #lifegoals
Everytime I log back into Tumblr
One day, I'll make it. One day I'll be able to buy chocolate milk without telling myself it's unnecessary.
Dang nabbit new rules making it so I can't see my notifications.

@matthiasiam It happened! Delight in the fulfillment of your words.
Science side of tumblr, How much potato do boyfriend/girlfriend cost?
depends. Some irish have been known to have been bought for two potato, and I’ve heard reports of some british and japanese going for as low as ten potato, but in america it is exchanged for fries. This messes with the normal metric potato measurements since they refuse to convert from Mc.standard, and the rate of potato-to-fries isn’t always the same. On average, a gf in america will be about 3 medium fries, or 4.56 potato. A bf, though, is often 5 medium fries, and that number can vary anywhere between 9 and 12.5 potato.
Despite Jennifer Lawrence’s advocation for equal pay, women are still only worth 4.56 potatoes to the man’s 12.5 potatoes.
This is too good to not repost!
I HATE Bob’s Burgers for this!!
Lmfao

Fo real doe thatlazysister
I wish more cartoons taught young girls that if a man harasses you or annoys you or whatever you should blow him up with a bazooka and feel no remorse :)))
Ivy leaned back to avoid the propulsion blast. They’ve done this before.
This is just too great. This is what I wished my little sister could do when guys would try and hit on her. Seriously pisses me off when I see that happen to women and I'm a guy. thatlazysister
Walking the Cats 1/2
With this set of 3 images & the other set posted below this one, I sought to show a breaking of some social norms through engaging with strangers by "modeling" on the beach with them. There have been photographers that have gone & shot complete strangers to tell a narrative or to shock the viewer. I thought, why not do that but I will partake in what ask the stranger/s to do. The action I settled on was to walk the catwalk & act as they saw models. Everyone I asked initially was set back by me approaching them but they quickly became warm & happy to be apart of this project.
My true artist statement is in the second set of images on the post below.
Walking the Cats 2/2
Why (in the U.S. at least) do we feel like we cannot & should not interact with others we pass by in public? Why do we automatically put up a guard when approached by strangers seeking to ask us for directions? It is good to have spontaneous interactions with complete strangers. When we are asked questions by strangers or when strangers laud us for something we have done well, something deep inside of our humanity is sparked. We feel a pang of exuberance, pushing us into a mental realm of joy & peace. Those two things, joy & peace, are things that I believe are seen more commonly through relationships that dive deeper than we believed that they would go. Interactions like this can show us a glimpse of how things should be. Of how things were. At least, before sin entered the world. One day things will be like that again & when that day comes there will Joy & Peace abound through all creation.
I give a brief explanation of what is going on in these 2 sets on the other set of images. Sorry if this is confusing.
Also, I had this revelation while I was walking around in this suit. My father is extremely overweight. I remember growing up & seeing how other kids gawked at him. I remember how that hurt me, but even more vividly I remember how that hurt him. Leading from that, I have been around a lot of obese people for much of my life. I have always listened to how they feel & are affected by the way others treat or look at them. When I listened though, I could only understand so much of their shame & sadness. While wearing this suit, I realized how difficult it was to move. I couldn't ru, ride a bike, jump, see properly, fit through narrow spaces. Inside the boxes, it was hot & scratchy. Other students were watching me & laughing at/ignoring me as I walked by. This poorly made cardboard suit gave me a little bit of a deeper understanding of what it is like to be morbidly obese. It made me sad, now thinking of those I've seen on Tv & that I know, in light of what became apparent to me. Being morbidly obese produces deep wounds of isolation & depression. It is like a bear trap, in order to get out of it you are going to need someone else to come along side you & aid you in getting out. So go & show a fat person some love! You never how much your words could uplift someone.
As college students, we can be so quick to buy things that we do not need. This is escalated by online shopping which has caused young adults to impulse buy for the simple reasons of time & money saved. On average, you can find things cheaper online with free shipping, eliminating the need to drive around & price check as our parents would have. This backlash of this, however, is the excess waste and indulgence within the current young adult generation. Boxes & bags now have the power to run rooms into mounds of waste; if not people's rooms, then it will be dumps. Through excessive buying, people can lose sight of themselves & in turn, they trade their identity of Christ for an identity made of things that will pass away. I plan on revisiting this series in the future, I'm not completely satisfied with these images. I may completely redo it later on. Who knows?!
Adventure is all around should you choose to look at things with the wonder & curiosity of children. As we grow older, we lose those two attributes to our character. Somewhere along the line, maturing became nearly synonymous with jaded; excitement & gregariousness became road blocks to dreams. To many people have traded those pairs when there was no real need to trade. You can have both. You live a constant adventure when you step back towards that which children function from. Wonder & Curiosity. These lead people into adventuress that they themselves know not where they will land. Be consumed with these & you will not fall prey to the ploy of age, which is to achieve mediocrity. Choose to be exceptional.
Adventure does not have to be a destination. It can be viewing what your mundane with a different perspective. When you push aside what you know, old places become increasingly different than when you first visited.
Streets can be lonely in the early morning hours. Especially when they are full of fog. There will be more in this series to come.
