Talking about Spinal Cord Injuries awareness.  Please head to @spinal_injuries charity. This charity has been close to my heart right from the beginning of my wheelchair life. I have been working closely and advocating for the importance of spreading awareness and education on spinal cord injury,helping with people newly injured and to the public . Spinal cord injury can happen to anyone at any time ,you can be born with it or not.

I will keep this very short as my Story is long!

For me I was injured in line of duty in 2009 as Police Officer ,a carcrash that changed mylife and my families. Being paralysed  from the chest down doesn't just affect my legs,I have brain injury,my internal organs are affected and there is so much more I can highlight. But today I want to share how grateful I am for the life I have with SCI.

A life I never thought would happen to me because I was able bodied all my life. My 2nd life began when I started to accept my T4 SCI  and learn to see my wheelchair as my legs. I started living again but for the better. Honestly I would not change anything about who I am now.  I am a better person filled with so much gratitude and appreciation of life itself. I am blessed to be given a 2nd chance to live again and embrace everyday appreciating the life mr& my daughter have. My wheelchair is my freedom to live, I don't see my life being restricted with barriers. My life is filled with confidence and beauty and I won't  lie, yes i have good and bad days because of my SCI battles but they keep me driven and motivated to never give up and keep living because my life is precious and I choose to see my life positively.  My daughter is my biggest inspiration, she has grown with no memories of me walking but she will always see me as mum, woman  and human being showing her there is always a way to live and do anything you want ❤

Selfconsciousness vs selfconfidence.. why can't we just say we are worth it? Disabled people always justify themselves about our own worth.

I truly believe in seeing goodness in others.I feel it in my bones & soul. I radiate beauty and feel the beauty inside me and around me. Here's the but&there always is when it involves disabled people BUT- we can't be beautiful, we can't be sexy, we can't be worthy,we can't feel good about ourselves because of our disabilities.

self consciousness is not from me but stems from others objectifying us as just ' disabled 'handicapped ' Many disabled ppl will relate having to prove our worth is exhausting&we are still doing it because we deserve our rights,freedom and voice to be included . I live for myself and for others ,to be voice for all disabled ppl. and I l protray myself disabled Woman and Mother because that is me, we should not change&conform to meet others low expectations of disabled people. topic about race is another subject for my next post! And there is nothing wrong with being sexy, feeling beautiful and feel good about yourself disabled or not. But disabled in society is referred as seperate -not part of us,-we don't exist nor matter. Disability is part of me,Inclusion matters! I put myself on here to always show we- Seeing disabled person as whole human beings is truly beautiful feeling that you will appreciate and learn. My desire and passions come from my openness,feeling relaxed, welcoming you into my energy and my smile is real because I do love who I am and become over the years. When disabled people smile- i get told 'what have i got to be happy about when your disabled?' and 'you shouldn't be smiling when your life is struggle',yes I know I have struggles but I don't bring that ontonothers, it stays with me alone.i am proud woman.I choose to smile because it's my choice&feel peace inside me. I was born with Disability- it was

invisible disability.That was never talked about it-I was seen hinderance shame to Asian families.Wearing baggy clothes to cover my bruises,swelling,dislocations whenever my bones click painfully out of place,falls,wearing hats for my hair loss,skin different tones,stretchmarks,

stretchy, face guant. The epipens I had were seen as weakness of a child relying on drugs not seen as medication. Forced to be given alternative methods and lots of prayers apparently would cure or I was seen as curse.I never showed anybody my bruised body because in asain community we weren't allowed for doctors to see our bodies. I wore orthopedic support shoes that weren't same as rest kids,travelled in disability support van- was bullied for walking differently and repeatedly passing out was seen as attention seeking. This invisible illness called Elhers-Danlos syndrome&jaccouds -bone disease. i have the severe stages where it affects my internal organs, Gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), Gastrointestinal, affects eating,swallowing, ibs,chronic pain,fatigue,difficulties with speech and dyslexia,jaw movement,not able to be.mother,life expectancy of48. Most ppl who have #EDS have stage1, it is managed. I want to say to my 9 year old self this statement is to you because Disabilities Invisible&Visable strengthens you! Now my visable Disability where I'm paralysed from chest down (story on my website) ,doesn't just affect legs from not working,low immunity,,bladder&bowel neurogenic damage.It is important to talk about it ,I was new to all. I learnt to manage on my own with my daughter who has same genetic disease. This is to every single young&old person out there that you can make your life however you want it,it takes time & your #beautiful inside out! You are strong! Tobe the 1st Wheelchair user model in missguided making history for young girls to believe in themselves . This isfor my daughter, all the girls because you matter and belong being just the way you are ❤️

I am always looking for ways to have better relationships with my mind so i can let all my knowledge and personal experiences out to help others. This year i had up set up my invitation to your mind therapy room . I was proud of launching this myself @myaccess_

But Covid-19 happened so visiting in person is currently on hold. But i saw COVID-19 lockdown as increased risk on everybody's mental health and i needed to help. It was really hurting me inside not able to leave my house for months knowing i have so much inside to help all ages. The beauty of online technology gave me platforms to work with from home, create diverse contents so then i i shared my healing techniques and coping skills for free. I never had these resources as child

I started on tiktok to help all ages using different techniques&replying to everysingle person everyday. this took me all day and night wanting to comunicatewith everyone. To be my best self for my health to give 100% im also using youtube to answer everyones questions with indepth videos. I will keep doing tiktok short content as different outlet at your disposal.

I am grateful for everyone's interaction that my posts are helping you.
