Re: The Problem with “Do This, Not That!”
This is a piece from my other blog, The Autistic Canadian, on the “Do This, Not That!” tutorial format. You can check it out here. I’d encourage having a look if you’re interested in autistic perspective on educational material.
As Sakura Maple aims to offer a catalogue of tutorials, my personal goal is to curate tutorials that cover multiple methods and approaches—because I knowhow…

2020 Vision
Okay, that joke is tired, but I wanted to talk about my goals for this site for the upcoming year.
More tutorial content: MMD and 3D theory are shortlisted
Some updates to site design: a PROPER wordmark logo
More artist resources and challenge info: for example, Mermay

Inktober 2019 – Day 10 Sailor Uranus' space sword (original anime version). I might do the newer one as well. It looks more streamlined.
Inktober 2019 - Day 8 and 9
Inktober 2019 – Day 8 and 9
Day 8 was a transformation pen (Jupiter and moon versions) by request. These are based more off of the merch than the versions actually seen in the original anime.
Day 9 is a crystal carillon bell!

Inktober 2019 – Day 7 This past week I've drawn sailor moon items exclusively, and if all goes well I'll be continuing that pattern for the remainder of the challenge.
Inktober 2019 – Day 6 A moon chalice/moon cup/holy grail.
Inkt 2019 – Day 5 The moon kaleidoscope was tricky because I almost ran out of space on the paper getting it in proportion, which would've required a complete re-draw.
Inktober 2019 – Day 4 A spiral heart moon rod. This one is closer to the original anime version than crystal.
Inktober 2019 – Day 3 This month is starting to look like moon-tober, given how this will be the third (and not the last) sailor moon reference.
Inktober 2019 – Day 2 Day 2 ended up being a crescent moon wand/moon stick, because why not at this point? Tomorrow will probably end up being a moon sceptre.
Inktober 2019 – Day 1 For lack of other ideas (despite planning on creating my own prompt list) I fell beck on sailor moon's cosmic heart compact.
Inktober Prompt List 2019 The official Inktober 2019 prompt list has dropped, so if you're planning on working from prompts this year now's your chance to pick it up.

The first couple of pages in the Blender section, which include download/installation guides, have been posted. A more comprehensive user-guide is planned.

Mini Comic
I made this two-panel manga-style comic with the trial of Comic Draw, it suits my workflow pretty well!
And yes, my Mom thought the comic was funny…
