The Pure Vessel finds the Pale King doing something new and tries to mimic him. Discovering, that was, just maybe, in some way or another, something akin to a mistake. The Pale King reflects on this moment, and what it could mean for the future of Hallownest.

That shot looks vaguely familiar. Not sure about the rest of the fandom, but I don’t think that the path of pain cutscene was Hollow’s. Or that it was what they thought was their moment of weakness, or fondest memory, etc. It was in the Pale King’s dream. It’s what he thought was the moment that corrupted the vessel. He thought it was his fault so that’s why he locked it away. It was an idea instilled, but maybe it wasn’t instilled into the vessel. >:D
What Hollow thought of that moment is up to interpretation. And my interpretation was it being another stressfully moment growing up as the Pure Vessel. One of many stressful moments.
Fun fact: after the last panel, the Pale King interrogated half the citizen of Dirtmouth and the crossroads as to why some people weren’t getting food. Scared the shit out of a lot of people.
The Pure Vessel undergoes the start of another molt and grapples with what it might mean for them in the future. Even like that, they still manage to make their reluctant friend drop its' wall.

There are many rules about one can and can’t do around the pure vessel. There is nothing against swearing. >:)
I’m trying a new art style, one that saves a little time. I want to try to be able to update more frequently. This comic has a lot of chapters planned already and I’m eager to get to the later ones.
