"this book is torture porn" no it was just a sad book. "this show is torture porn" no it just had violent scenes. "this movie is torture porn" no its actually a fairly standard horror film

like. not to be um actually ☝️🤓 but torture porn was actually coined to describe a specific subgenre of horror cinema (also known as splatter) that focused on graphic portrayals of gore & violence against the body. & EVEN THEN a lot of these films have artistic merit & should not be dismissed just because you might find them shocking. stop moralising your discomfort 🙏 please 🙏
