“’fraid so.” Theo had to roll her eyes. She’d be lying if she said that she hadn’t damn near drained a few people. She never realized just how easy it was to get her fill before this place. In the cells with a brand was equivalent to starving a succubus or incubus…. something that he seemed to know so well. “Maybe if they actually gave us real tastes here, we wouldn’t.. act out.”

“Getting laid helps a little,” he offered, rolling his eyes.  “Not such a bad thing, cuz I do love my sex, but you gotta wonder if that was intentional.  Make us nice and eager to please.”

“You act like I fucking killed someone,” the succubus spoke with a roll of her eyes. Sure, she’d destroyed a little bit when the magic was intercepted, and when the dragon had let her out of the cage… But really, who didn’t? Or better yet, who didn’t expect her to. “I would have, but I didn’t have enough time.” She shrugged nonchalantly. Had the right person approached her, she probably would have really tried to kill someone. “I’m sure you had more to worry about than little ole me.”

Nico leaned against the wall and grinned at her.  “They’re so dramatic arent they?” he laughed, sniffing the air, scenting that she was like him.  “Everyone loses their mind over a half drained mortal here and there.  It’s not our fault they’re so tasty.”

          This place is a smoke filled maze - the whole town probably charmed to confuse ‘slaves’ who try to escape. Even now, through the fire and screams of those burning. She knew this would happen eventually - but not now, not so soon. Not with her inside. The Angel fled the courtyard as quickly as her abilities presented themselves - leaving a guard to choke upon his own blood as she climbed the wall. He would die in the hell fire at her back.

          The heart of Thorn Haven was worse, bodies running over bodies and in different directions. Building’s burning to the ground. Everything felt all too fresh and familiar in her mind. She had to remind herself she had a goal - the only thing keeping her still planted in this city. She turned a corner and then another - the footfalls of another sent her on the attack without a second thought. With the small amount of power she does have, she lifts up a discarded knife before snatching it in her hand and swiping forward. “Back the fuck off.” Once she may have been a healer - but now, she knew the exact place of every vital organ. 

“Woah! I’m not trying to start anything,” Nico said, holding up his hands and tipping his head to the side. He’d never had to be agressive with his powers, so all this chaos wasn’t exactly his cup of tea.  “I’m just out stretching my legs till someone puts a cap on all this and chucks us back into the cells.”

Must it all be a joke with this one? Didn’t he saw what was happening around him? The guards falling, the slaves running. “Stretch your legs?!” what an insult his words were “Do you think this is fun?” 

Each word out of this one mouth only served to aggregate the old creature, and before he decided to end his life he gave the boy a chance to get away, maybe a guard would get him and save him some time.  

“Hush now, and get out of my face child. If you are not here to help get out of our way.“

Nico hummed and strolled out of the cell.  “Sure.  Good to get out of there and take a walk,” he said, then raised a brow.  “Fun?  None of this is what I call fun, Big Guy.  I haven’t had any real fun since they slapped a brand on me and capped my powers.  I’m not gonna stop you from doing whatever you’re planning to do.”

“Does it really matter, child?“ lazy one, probably so used to the cells that he didn’t know an opportunity for freedom when it hit in the head. And How the old creature wanted to hit him in the head, maybe that would bring him some sense. Still, he gave it the benefit of the doubt. The boy was probably a result of the environment he was in. He didn’t know any better. 

“When are screams ever fun?“

Nico shrugged.   “Well, I guess I’m not going to say no to the chance to stretch my legs,” he said, rolling to his feet and taking a deep breath.  A jolt ran through him as he scented the pheromones heavy in the air, the acidic tang of fear mostly, and his eyes widened.  “Ooooh, haven’t felt that in a while.”  He strolled out of the cell and grinned, “I’m an incubus, Honey.  I’ve made a lot of people scream in pleasure.”

The dark figure showed up from nowhere. You really didn’t saw from where he came from untill he was standing outside your cell. He looked at you like he was reading your soul wanting to find the secrets you didn’t even know you had.  

“Times are changing child.“ he said only before stepping closer to the cell. “I asked this only once… so listen carefully“ and with the sound of his words you hear the first scream coming from down the hallway. 

“Will you follow… or will you burn?“

“And where would I be following you to, Tall Dark and Scary?” Nico said, peering up at the man from where he lay sprawled on his cot.  He could hear the screams from down the hall and he tipped his head to the side.  “Well, those don’t sound like fun screams.”

“My point.” a singular nonchalant shrug was offered in response, as if to conclude the human’s thoughts on that specific matter. There were plenty other things to do or worry about that seemed to outshine the opinions of nobodies – mind over matter, they said. Or something like that. “Only further proving my stance – why are you here, putting all that incubus to shame, instead of.. you know, luring them in, catching them up in your web, chewing them up and spitting them out? You could do so much damage to their fragile little egos.. have them wrapped up all around that demon tail.” 

“Tigers don’t have to justify being tigers to the gazzells,” he said with a laugh, then pouted.  “Well sure, I can lure them in if they bother to come down and see me...but now I can’t draw them close with my powers.  It was so much easier when I could lead them right to me.  Now I just have to wait and be so bored and lonely...and please, I don’t have a tail.  It would ruin the lines of my fabulous ass.”

“There is. I’m curious to see and feel what ideas you have.” Ramiel rebutted, though he was mostly being serious. The ash blonde looked back at the incubus with an eager shine to his eyes, instinctly drawing nearer at the sight of his wiggling fingers, lips curved in a smirk. “Yes I am. We’ll do just fine without powers. There’s a lot to be said to simple human skills.” Leaning in, Ramiel pressed his lips to Nico’s, testing the waters, eager to see how the other would respond. 

The allure of a kiss, of contact was still achingly strong even without the prospect of draining any energy from the touch and Nico surged forward, leaning into the kiss.  His soft lips parted slightly, tounge sweeping against the other man’s full lower lip before retreating, giving permission for him to deepen the kiss.  His hands came up to rest on the taller man’s chest, fingers playing with the fabric of his shirt.

“Aren’t these turds hating on my hot ass already, anyways?” Tatiana shrugged her shoulders – see, she wouldn’t go as far as to call the females around ‘ladies’, that would have been too much of an overstatement. Licking her lips, the girl released a bored sigh, hand pushing her hair back as she tapped against the bars of Nico’s cell. “Why not snag both, Nico? Don’t tell me you, of all people, are monogamous.” 

“Probably, but hey, who cares?” he said blythely.  “What’s that human song, Haters gonna hate, hate, hate...I’ve found that’s pretty dame true.  And utterly boring.  Who wants to waste all that effort?”  Nico’s nose wrinkled.  “Monogamous?  Ew, bite your tongue, Girl!”

“Well, there’s always the bunch that likes to share – you know, who’d indulge you in sexual liberty.” Being claimed wasn’t something entirely bad, not if you knew how to weasel your way around the rules, and find the proper person for yourself. But, that was Nico’s business. He’d figure it out for himself. “Aren’t I?” Tatiana chuckled, spinning around “Just look at me.. I look like one of those posh celebrity Manchester wives!  –Except I’m much younger, much classier and a whole lot less wrinkly.  — And I still get to have all the fun I want.”

“Mmmmm, you have a point there,” he hummed, considering her words.  “Guess I just have to snag me a sugar daddy/mama.”  A laugh escaped him as she compared herself to bad reality tv.  “Girl, if you were a Manchester Wife, the other ladies would HATE your hot ass.”

The man’s replie made Nico laugh delightedly.  “I haven;t been shy for years…if I ever was,” he grinned, then tapped a finger against his chest.  “I’m Nico.  You got a name or shall I keep calling you Handsome?”

Ramiel grinned, liking the others carefree attitude and flirty demeanor. He was clearly game and not opposed to seeing this for what it was. All too often the angel had met others in the cells that struggled to accept or take advantage of the new position they were in. “That is good to know.” he said, his eyes curious as he was touched. “Its Ramiel. Though I would never be opposed to be called Handsome for a few hours.”

“Lot we could do for fun in a few hours,” Nico teased, tipping his head to the side and looking up at the taller man through the dark fan of his lashes.  He wiggled his fingers at him.  “Interested in seeing what I can do?  I promise, I still got a lot of skills, even with my powers all bound.”

Grinning at her, Nico waved a hand in the air.  “Ah, I’m in and out, ya know.” he said easily.  “Back to hell?  Nah, I’m too much fun to have around to send down there.” He wiggled his fingers at her dress.  “Enjoying the freedom of being out of here, I see.”

Tatiana nodded. “Ya plan to snatch yourself someone anytime soon? You’re wasting away here, Nic. It’s such a pity, really.” a low chuckle pushed past the human’s lips. Did she enjoy being out of the cells? Fuck yeah. Who wouldn’t? “What’s there not to enjoy? I get to spend tons of money, do whatever I want for the great majority of time and well.. I’m getting good sex. Now that I’m saying it out loud — it kinda sounds like the trophy wife life.”

Nico shrugged. “Can you see me settling down with one person, Tati?  In here sucks, sure, but when I get out. it’s with a bunch of different people,” he said with a sigh.  Sure, he’d love to get out, but it would be another cage to him.  Her opinions on being claied made him chuckle.  “Well, you’re a hell of a trophy!”

“Easy, cowboy. This is dress is Versace and I won’t have your uncultured ass ruin it.” Tatiana was livid. If her brand new clothes hadn’t been enough indication that she was now a claimed slave, well, the girl was about to make it rain a very cold shower on this particular guard. “If you have a problem with me being here, you can just submit a complaint to my master-- he’ll look it over and get back to you, I’m sure.  ” -- In all honesty, she wasn’t doing anything wrong. All she wanted was to see Kora, Theo and Dina. Was it a fucking crime? No. “Now, if you don’t mind.. I’ve got places to be, people to see..”

Never thought I would’ve left such an impact on people.” Rolling her eyes nonchalantly, a signature move, Tatiana’s head tilted to the side “How you doing, Nico? Haven’t seen you around in a while. Kinda figured one of these fuckers bought you a one-way ticket back to hell.”

“Look at me, indeed.” Tatiana brushed down her dress, these fucking heathens had almost succeeded in ruining it. Bloody fools – had they no respect for haute couture? Vile, troglodyte brutes. All muscle, no brain. “What’s crawled up their asses?” the human asked Nico, quite obviously referring to the iffy guards.

Nico leaned on the bars of his cell and laughed.  “I’m guessing they don’t like having someone around that they used to be able to push around and now can’t,” he guessed.  “Especially one that looks like a total snack like you!”

“Shy? You misunderstand me. I’m all good, I was insinuating you might not be.” Ramiel replied with a small smirk, shrugging his shoulders and taking the time to survey the other just as closely as he himself were being surveyed. “Indeed we are.”
