Oh yeah so I forgot to tell you but last Friday I was having a session with an older gentleman with a firm disposition but an open mind, it went well, all very productive, the ideal patient in many ways, so we're closing up, and before we close, he asks me if his wife can ask me something regarding public safety (I am a psychologist but I work in Public Security, I specifically work with victims), I answer that if it's anything I know about, I can try and be of help.
Lady: "I want to denounce someone. Report them, I know he stole my car. Can I?"
Me: "Oh, sure thing, I can help you file that or at least tell you how to go about it, your husband mentioned you have cameras installed on your home, so I assume that's your evidence?"
Me: "Gotcha, what is your evidence?"
Lady: "The cards told me."
Lady: "I asked the Tarot, and it confirmed he did it. I went to a witch I know, she asked Tarot as well and it also told her that he did it. Can I report it?"
Me: "Right, so, you can still file it, but you should know that the Tarot has no weight in the Chilean Constitution nor does it have any weight in any Chilean Court of Law or Tribunal of High Justice".
Me: "Because of the Constitution, ma'am."
Lady: "Ahh, gotcha, thanks!"
If this were an Urban Fantasy or a Magic Realism story, this could've been the opening lines to a wonderful story, but alas, this is real life.
