It also feels terrible to not be believed

as a hypochondriac I tend to base my sense of danger on other people’s reactions of me telling them what is happening. So when I had what would bow be described as a tic attack, I was telling everyone around me. Very few seemed to care that my head was jerking to the side every second, and seemed to even get irritated that I kept bringing it up (to make sure I was assessing my situation correctly and not over or under reacting)

Guess who has a tic disorder now? Me. I also learned that many of my friends and family members simply thought I was faking it, and when I tried to bring up how much it upset me; I was told that it was natural that they didn’t believe me and that I shouldn’t be upset. Only when my mother was at the brink of tears at my current state was I properly able to see the gravity of the situation.

I have been accused of faking online and it infuriates me that people without my specific disability are acting like they know so much more than me on the condition that I have. On how some people ask other people what’s wrong with me, as if I couldn’t answer them myself.

Oh that was not a dream, this is a dream. Sorry to say this but you have been in a coma for years now. Your son visits you every weekend, he tells you about his day you know. Hoping that somehow, someway, you can hear him. He’s dating someone. they came to see you one day, he thinks you’ll support their relationship but he just can’t be sure and the doubt creates a sinking pit in his stomach.
