After sitting with it for a while, I do think Toll the Hounds has to take the number 2 or 3 spot for me. I think the Bonehunter is still my fav, but I need to digest for a bit to figure it out. Plus I still have 2 more books left.
In the meantime, here's my ranking so far.
The Bonehunters- Lovelovelove this book
Memories of Ice-Love the intrigue when it comes to the alliance, feels like a big climax for the first part of the series.
Toll the Hounds-It has some slow parts but probably the best climax in the series imo. It also helps that at this point in the series many characters have cemented themselves as people I find interesting.
Deadhouse Gates-The fact that this is 4 instead of higher speaks to the quality of this series. The Chain of Dogs alone has secured this book a place in my mind and heart for the rest of my life.
Gardens of the Moon-They throw you in deep, but what a fantastic way to immerse yourself in this world. I can't imagine how different it will be on a read through.
House of Chains-I'm not the biggest fan of Karsa, but it's nice to see his development as well as the beginning of the Bonehunters. The death of Felisin is tragic.
Midnight Tides- I'm not the biggest fan of the Edur, or the Letheras plotline, but there's some interesting stuff here.
Reaper's Gale-This is pretty much Midnight Tides 2, but I hate Fear, Seren, and Clip. So for grouping them all together automatically makes this my least fav book. The best thing about it is that it kills off the Sengar family and seems to end the Edur storyline.
