Before you enter the load area near the infamous elevators next time you go on the Tower of Terror look out for this little Permit to Operate Sign. The Permit is signed by one Cadwallader, who is this man you ask? Well he is a character from the Twilight Zone episode “Escape Clause”. During the episode it is revealed that he is none other than the actual devil himself. It’s reassuring to know that he signed the permit approving the elevator! As for the certificate number 10259, it stands for October 2, 1959. Which was the date that “Escape Clause” episode of the Twilight Zone premiered.
