OFF RP in the making
I'm attempting to make an RP of OFF from Mortis Ghost and wasn't sure if anyone might be interested so if you are please let me know?
Redemption Graveyard: Curse of the Raven
So I played a game called Redemption Graveyard: Curse of the Raven the other night and since I have decided to use this account for game reviews aside from other things, I decided to write a review of this game. On the scale of horror this game had captivating visuals and stimulating storyline. The puzzles were challenging and varied not to mention the gameplay was fairly good for a search and find game. You first start off driving on a road and out of nowhere another car came into view and causes you to crash near a cemetery. You get out and proceed into the graveyard only to have the doors close and lock behind you suddenly trapping you inside. You're mission is to escape from the cemetery somehow while following the clues provided by a raven with a twinkling red eye. The first ghost you encounter is the ghost of a dead father who asks you to save his daughter by sending you through a portal that sends you back in time to the day of the fire. Much to my dismay it was sadly too late for me to save the father but I did manage to save the daughter. The father thanks you for saving his daughter and sends you to the next spirit. The next spirit that you encounter was the ghost of an elderly woman who was murdered and wants you to help her find out who her murderer was. Now at first I honestly thought that it was probably the gardener that was the murderer considering the evidence seemed to be strong against him but it turned out that much to my amazement it wasn't actually the gardener but it was actually the late husband upon discovering this the man was arrested and the ghost asks you to help recreate the will so that her son would get everything. Then there was the third ghost who asks you to help her make sure that a shipment of vaccines to a town. When I first arrived on this scene I was greeted by a scene that definitely hit the feeling of horror. The dungeon was covered in blood stains there was a bloodthirsty werewolf waiting to bite my head off, and there was even a gothic dungeon styled castle to appease to the gothic horror/dark fantasy genre enthusiasts. In the end you manage to deliver the vaccines to the town only to be returned to the graveyard and now have the means in which to allegedly escape the cemetery. However , when I went through the gate I was greeted with a to be continued screen and the game ended. Though yeah the ending was cliffhanger hell the rest of the game was actually really good. Gameplay was understandable, visuals were pleasing and the story was pretty good so if you're looking for a entertaining hidden object game of the gothic horror/dark fantasy game I would probably recommend this game.
The Symptom Journal
I've decided to start using this again because it's happening again I know there's a chance someone might find it and share it with others but it is the only thing that has seemed to help me silently cope with the sickness. People tell me to be myself and be more social don't they realize I can't? behind the metaphorical mask I hide behind pretending to be normal they wouldn't ....they...couldn't possibly...could never understand what this feels like to mentally deal with everything that I deal with on a daily basis. The episodes are coming back and they wonder why I hate myself? they see me one way I see myself as something else entirely. I want to like myself but I can't because if I try to be actual self the one beneath the mask people don't like me they get angry at me and snap at me. They tell me to change who I am but I can't believe me I've tried this. I've already tried therapy and they couldn't help me, and medication only made me feel even worse. It never stops right when I think it does it comes back and the only escape I had from this was my writing but people convinced me I was bad at it so I turned to drawing but then I realized I was inferior and nearly gave that up to what do I even have left anymore how can I reach out to my friends when I fear that they won't believe me or get hurt in the process. I can't even remember when the sickness began and I have a feeling it's never going to stop so all I can do is cope. call it what you want ....I don't expect anyone to understand and I hardly doubt anyone will believe me. This is not an attempt to write a creepypasta I don't even know why I'm bothering writing this. considering I hardly think anyone is going to care to even notice me on here so if I disappear I don't think I'd really even be missed but at least with the journal I'll be able to remember again.
The Dream Voyagers
I recently played The Dream Voyagers and I'm kind of in a bit of rage now. Gameplay wise it wasn't bad and it had an interesting premise to it but it was really long. It took me a good few hours to make it through this game and worst of all was I never got to find out who the shadowy figure was because the game suddenly glitched out on me and caused it to exit it destroying the trial mode that I had for it. I'm not planning on playing this one again especially anytime soon. For a search and find game you'll have plenty, but they had no other puzzles so I wasn't much of a fan of this one sorry guys, as much as I would like to give this one a glowing review i don't think I genuinely can this time.
The Curse of Silent Marshes
I recently played a game today called The Curse of Silent Marshes. It's a hidden object puzzle rpg type of game. For those of you that like creepy clowns, voodoo curses, and horror elements, you may actually like this game. First a few things about this game for a hidden object game it actually had animated cutscenes and animated movements. In my experience, not a lot of games of this genre have this element very often. This element was very well executed, the story was very good and the ending made me very happy. I really liked this game and would probably buy this game given the chance.
It starts off with the main character going to meet up with her friends from childhood at a bar. They were reminiscing and having a good time until suddenly the main antagonist of our story appears and essentially abducts you and your friends. When you come to you wake up in a swamp infested by crocodiles after you manage to get free of the swamp you get to an area where you find the first of your missing friends but getting to him will not be an easy task the game play was very engaging and had a lot of problem solving in it which I found rather enjoyable. The visuals were really nice and I actually found myself feeling sorry for the main antagonist. As the story progresses you realize your friend's are trapped inside nightmares and the only way to save them is by breaking the curse on the voodoo dolls of your friends. Personally after saving the first of the main protagonist's friends I started to suspect that maybe they had done something to this clown to make him soo upset. It was almost like "yeah let's go set off the clown with magical fucking powers that's a Great idea" yeah not seriously he has voodoo and magical powers why in the hell would you wanna fuck with that?
Anyway..... after you meet the voodoo priestess in the general store at some point she tells you about how "when a person feels alone they are more likely than others to succumb to the power of voodoo demons that will eventually consume their souls when they no longer have a use for the human than the poor soul that summoned them" at first I thought this was rather random but it turns out this is foreshadowing. You continue solving puzzles traveling about to complete them and when you first meet the clown attempting to save the first of your friends he hints that they did something to him to set him off but you the main character did not and he states that he doesn't want to hurt you and wants you to save yourself and abandon your friends. Sadly you kinda can't really do that but as he realizes that you aren't going to back off he gets upset and decides that he may have to harm you though he doesn't seem to want. One of the clues I found was a picture you find in the carousel it's a picture of you and your friends back when you all were kids for you horror lovers you'll want to take notice of this. Look at the picture trust me on this notice that the clown has drawn nooses and other murders things on your friends but the one that's you on the picture is undamaged. As it urns out later on you discover the clown's name is actually "Simon" and that your friends had bullied him when you all were little but apparently you didn't. No wonder he's soo pissed off! Man your character's friends are kind of assholes aren't they? Regardless Simon due to the bullying from your friends wanted them to feel what he felt and was tricked into summoning a voodoo demon that gave him dark magical powers in order to be able to attempt to exact his revenge. However as soon as your friends realize what they've technically caused to have happen to Simon they feel remorse and want to help save simon from the demon and yet they send you to go take care of it alone. I thought this seemed a bit hypocritical but whatever when you arrive Simon is asking the demon for more power to help him get his revenge to which the demon gets frustrated calling him weak and pathetic before attempting to suck the soul out of him. Oh man did I get pissed off during this part. "oh hell no you demon asshole you leave poor Simon alone you prick" and with that they gave me a final puzzle which was annoying as hell which was figuring out how to destroy the light rays in skulls (this puzzle is a bitch and half by the way) but the ending was worth it you get to rescue Simon who was completely worth rescuing I don't care if he's a creepypasta looking clown or not he was a sweetheart and I liked the character. Overall this was a really great game and it kinda sucks that not many people seem to know about I would definitely recommend this game others that are into this genre of games.
Boys cry. Girls masturbate. Boys can like pink and not be gay. Girls can have short hair and not be a lesbian. Boys can like ballet. Girls can like video games. Boys can be hot without a six pack. Girls can be hot without a hairless body. Boys can have hair down to their waists. Girls can have stretch marks, curves and back fat. Gender doesn’t determine what you can and cannot enjoy, what you can and cannot look like or what you can and cannot do.
Secret of the Hildegards
This game was pretty impressive for what it was and if anyone had taken my bet they would have owed me about 30$ or something. As far as the game play the puzzles were pretty straight forward mostly there was a lot of search and find scenes and inventory wasn't really needed as much. Visuals were very aesthetically pleasing to those of us into the darker side of fantasy. Though I had my doubts when I started playing it in the beginning. The main protagonist was a woman named Abigail Hildegard and she was born into a family line of holy order of protectors who were sworn to protect the world from evil. Now usually this type of plot really isn't something that normally interests me but regardless this premise was actually execute rather nicely in my opinion. Anyway in the beginning Abigail did not want to take part in her family's chosen path until her demented uncle Thalos decided to go crazy and opened the gates to evil.
In one of the rooms you meet another character Richard the family butler who was injured but manages to help you from time to time. It had a pretty good story for a hidden object game as some don't always bother to really have one. I wish I could simply go onto how amazing this game was and the surprise plot twist ending made playing the game all the way through worth it, unfortunately I personally feel it could've been much better. Before any of you vampire lovers out there get all pissed off at me over this let me at get a chance to explain why I felt this could've been better.
First of all they had the premise for a great story but it kinda felt like they could've maybe incorporated a bit more storyline into it than they did. Perhaps more dialogue or plot development or something. It just felt kinda random they way they put the dialogue in for some reason I just kinda felt maybe there should've been a bit more of it than what was there. Also maybe it's just me but it seemed as far as puzzles they seemed a bit repetitive and only really variated maybe once or twice. Other than that it was a pretty good game for one geared around Vampires. Also I would have liked to see maybe some more of the Vampire Alamon, he really seemed like a potentially interesting character and they just kinda threw him in at the end and left it off with a massively cliff hanger ending which kinda left me thinking wait what the fuck that's it? It would've been nice if there was more plot and story in it but as far as gameplay it was an overall nice dark fantasy hidden object game. If they ever make a sequel I probably will end up playing pout of curiosity since I did find it's story and characters interesting and they left once too many unanswered questions for my liking. Overall this was surprisingly a pretty good game.
Curse of Twilight : Thief of Souls (Extended Edition)
I recently got back into gaming and tried to get caught up on a few Hidden Object games that managed to catch my eye. Curse of Twilight: Thief of Souls was once of those said games. I will admit I tend to be rather selective when it comes to games that I'm willing to get into. What first caught my attention to this game was the stunning visuals and the plethora and various and intricate puzzles that it contained. Best of all it had a storyline to it as well. It starts with the main protagonist getting a letter inviting her to a formerly abandoned mansion called Darkfall Manor.
When you first arrive at the place it seems to be dark and ominous, with a gargoyle statue on your left. in front of you is a couple puzzles, and to the right leads to the cemetery. After you manage to get into the house you find an entrance hall and a hallway of five doors. This is when things began to get interesting for those who like paranormal and fantasy. In the cellar you meet the ghost of one of the protagonist's descendants that explains that the house is actually a trap for you and that you have to find an object called the "Ring of Light" (Which is a bitch and a half to get by the way) which you must find before Grim can succeed in stealing your soul.
Back to the hallway I mentioned before this is where I started to fall in love with it a little bit since each of the doors with the symbols in them was like walking into completely different worlds. The firs on the door on the bottom left with crossbones is the one that leads to a place called the Shore. This place had a lighthouse a ghost pirate ship an astronomy tower and an halloween styled hill side. There you meet a ghost pirate captain who after you help him repair his ship he gives you the cursed painting which is the first item you'll need for to free yourself from the beldam known as Grim's web so to speak. The second world they send you into is the country side where you meet the ghosts of the main characters grandparents which I have to admit this level made me feel a little sad considering they ask you for very little and when the grandmother said she was fading away I was like "no no I just made you the soup you wanted you can't freaking die on me now" but alas she did. Before she fades away she gives you the cursed clock that you needed for the main hall.
Then there was the third world for some odd reason this was one of my favorite levels it's the door on the back right towards the cellar with the sherlock holmes version microscope lens insignia. The level is called Town Square as it's a Jack the Ripper type of scene from the moment you get there. You see a young woman who has recently been murdered and a ghost of a detective inspector who asks for your help in tracking down the serial killer eresponsible. Honestly though I kinda don't Really see how the killer got away with it for soo long considering how freaking obvious he made himself. I mean Seriously how did no one else notice that he had the blood stained butcher's apron with the victims blood on it Hanging right in the front window of his shop for Everyone to see. Not to mention the bad attitude he shows you when you knock on the door to his house that' literally Right net door to it...but I digress.
Anyway, after some careful gathering of clues you manage to figure out that the town butcher is the killer ...no surprise there really except not to me, regardless the inspector sends you into the killer's house to gather evidence to prove it. Downside however is as soon as you manage to get into the basement and turn on the light switch, lo and behold the killer shows up and locks you in the basement. Considering the killer targets woman and the main protagonist is in fact a female being locked in this guy's basement is definitely Not a place I'd want to be so I managed to find a way out and he guy was arrested in exchange for my troubles i obtained a cursed snowglobe.
Then there's the fourth level which is one of my other personal favorites. Not only is it's visuals absolutely gorgeous beyond any of the other ones in this game but it's also where we get pretty strong plot development. When you first enter this place there's a frozen garden, a hidden cave behind the waterfall, a cemetery and a balcony with a crystal coffin with a blonde haired girl who appears to be possible reference to snow white a little bit. After collecting the four different colored roses you'll get a crystal in the shape of a heart. Return this to the weeping angel and you will gain the apple which you have to use to wake up the sleeping girl.
She introduces herself as Dahlia and explains that she like many other of your descendants was trying to stop Grim by attempting to use the Ring of Light and failed and as punishment Grim trapped her in that coffin in a state of sleep and that she'll help you in return for you helping her save her husband. Honestly I was not actually expecting this plot twists when it came to the husband as soon as you free the raven it turns out that the raven is in fact her husband and that Grim had turned him into a raven and locked him in a cage. in exchange they give you the cursed rose and some background on grim apparently he was summoned by a cult and is a cipher of souls. He intended to take yours but if you destroy his "web" or the mansion and use the ring of Light you can destroy him for good and keep your soul, and as an added bonus you would be setting free all the innocent souls that he's been enslaving. Sounds like a plan right?
You return the cursed objects to the mantle in the main room and now it's time to use up all the silver keys if you hadn't already and open that gate in the cemetery. This is known as the Bonus world and the last actual level aside from the main house left to go. I warn you now this place is kind of a mind fuck. You start of in a fairy tale type of area with a frog prince reference and another angel statue. North of that is a large gate locked and guarded by two dragons I later realized this is actually guarding a excalibur sword in the stone reference. Anyways the room you approach after this is literally a treasure trove room but there' is kind of an Alice in Wonderland reference in here. Once you return the dragon horn and dragon eyes to the statue of a chinese dragon which is really hard to miss. Also another warning this level is pretty confusing in aw ay compared to the other ones which in a way were pretty straight forward. Anyway for setting the dragon statue right again you get a figure of a white rabbit which you need to get into the next room which is small door and behind that is a place that just screams the enchanted garden from Alice in Wonderland all over it. As soon as this level was complete I had to stab the excalibur like sword into the open grave and was finally able to get the Ring of Light. (Like I said it's a bitch and a half to get this)
Now it's time to go face Grim in all honestly the final confrontation really isn't even that hard like at all it's just one final puzzle while Grim laughs at you probably in a sad attempt to creep you out or something. As soon as I finished the ring puzzle there was a happy ending where the web was essentially destroyed in other words the house was gone and the spirits were free. Overall this was a really great game the game play was more than engaging, the puzzles were challenging and interesting the visuals were amazing and it had a good story behind it I would definitely recommend this game to others.
