Does anyone remember when Murder On The Orient Express came out and they had a website where you had to find all these clues (the url was cluesareeverywhere.com if I remember correctly)? I remember one of the ‘rewards’ for finding a clue was a Youtube video that was a recipe for hot chocolate and I really want to find it again

The hot chocolate recipe video was called “Hildegarde’s Death by Chocolate” and among the ingredients were dark chocolate liqueur, chocolate squares and chocolate truffles. I can’t find it on the official channels (youtube, instagram, twitter) but I downloaded it in 2017 after playing the viral campaign game, and I’ve screencapped the footage for you.

Ingredients:

2oz dark chocolate liqueur 10oz whole milk 8oz heavy cream, separated 4oz dark chocolate squares 2 chocolate truffles 2 cinnamon sticks

Chop dark chocolate & truffles.

Simmer together whole milk, 4oz of cream & cinnamon sticks.

Add dark chocolate and liqueur. (First pic shows Hildegarde taking the cinnamon sticks out of the pan, before she adds the chocolate bits.)

Cool for 5-7 minutes. Whip 4oz of cream until it peaks.

Sprinkle chopped chocolate truffles. (Obviously, don’t add “poison” like Hildegarde does in her recipe! ;))

Since I didn’t get any Bryce content in yesterday’s OPH chapter, I made my own. I HC that he and MC were on different shifts so they started sexting while the other was at work.

Why do people have to point out him being white to make the book seam racist? Can people not understand that this book is LITERALLY ABOUT ETHAN? He's the whole reason MC came to Edenbrook, he's the reason she became a doctor in the first place! "Ever since I learned Ethan Ramsey was here. His research basically inspired me to apply to med school!" Oh course he's going to "get more opportunities" than the other characters, read the book 1 chapter 1 description. THIS👏BOOK👏IS👏ABOUT👏HIM👏BEING👏HER👏MENTOR👏 Stop trying to make it about race when it isn't.

This is exhausting. Of course Ethan being white factors into his screen time. Other than Landry in book one he is the only default white character in the main cast and yet has a much larger role in the story which increased in Book 2.

Also look at the other LIs that get preferential screen time and there is a clear bias. The white male LI (or the race customizable one in certain books) get more story and screen time, this is not new and pointing it out is not an attack on Ethan stans.

Also the book isn’t about Ethan. It is about the MC’s residency and yes he is her mentor and he is going g to have a big role, but her fellow residents could also be a big part of that (ever watch Grey’s Anatomy or Scrubs,while the mentor and student relationship is important so is the bond between the residents).

Ethan does have far more screen time than the other LIs and this follows a pattern that PB has set, it’s not just about Ethan and Open Heart, it’s about the bigger picture.

Of course I saved Ginny, because I love that sweet little girl, and teh scene was sooo worth it! Edward getting so mad at the MC for risking her life, Ginny yelling at Edward in defence of MC and then Edward admitting that he can’t bear the idea of teh MC getting hurt and using her name...

I actually love that he usually calls her “miss” becasue that makes the occasional use of the first name mean so much more and it shows the longing and depth of feeling that is building.

That diamond scene is sliding Edward slightly ahead of Charlie for my heart, not gonna lie.

Distant Shores has the most likable characters. I'm fond of every crew member, they all are such interesting, sweet people and it's fascinating to see them interacting with each other. The MC is so much fun too! I'll be heartbroken if the book turns out to be a standalone💔

In December I moved out to rented flat with my sister. It’s much more accessible and life is much easier now, especially considering our abusive parents. But money is tight and with COVID pandemic it’s even worse.

Long term I’m trying to raise enough to upgrade my oxygen generator so I can get my oxygen as prescribed - one I use now is too weak and only helps some and still leaves me with hypoxia symptoms at times.

But short term,being immunocompromised during the pandemic, I need help with expenses like groceries delivery, oxygen cannulas (they got much more expensive now, and harder to get) and meds.

NEVER! Vic can’t cook, which is hilarious because the last chapter was just her and Bryce clowning like “DO YOU KNOW HOW TO COOK?” “BITCH NO I WAS HOPING YOU COULD!” and they looked for online recipes while Keiki laughed at them,,, they were so proud of their stupid pasta lmfao I’m proud of them for not burning the house down.

But it’s true, I had to change some of my headcanons because of the new information… basically, instead of Bryce already knowing how to cook, this is what’s gonna happen: none of them would survive the winter without take-out, but when they eventually move in together Vic decides she’s gonna learn how to cook. And she tries, she tries really hard. But like I said, she’s a goddamn menace. The food she makes is not edible + she turns everything into a fire hazard. Problem is, she thinks she’s good at it. That’s when Bryce decides to learn the basics. As it turns out, he’s a natural!

So yeah instead of Bryce already being a good cook I give you: Bryce watching the food network for hours and experimenting with recipes until he gets good at it because he doesn’t have the heart to tell his girlfriend that she’s a terrible cook. It’s quite easy because he looks so good in the kitchen so she can’t really complain, plus he eventually starts to enjoy it.
