Hi. I’m Alexa, I’m 25, a lesbian, I live in Poland and I am dying.

I was born with unfortunate amount of rare genetic illnesses and gathered some comorbid ones on my way through teen years.

Right now I hope to live 7, maybe 10 years. I do have a chance for more if I’m lucky and in good care, and I’m desperate to live as long as I can.

I’m a full time wheelchair user and I also have to use oxygen generator.

In December I moved out to rented flat with my sister. It’s much more accessible and life is much easier now, especially considering our abusive parents. But money is tight and with COVID pandemic it’s even worse.

Long term I’m trying to raise enough to upgrade my oxygen generator so I can get my oxygen as prescribed - one I use now is too weak and only helps some and still leaves me with hypoxia symptoms at times.

But short term,being immunocompromised during the pandemic, I need help with expenses like groceries delivery, oxygen cannulas (they got much more expensive now, and harder to get) and meds.

With the worsening of my conditions comes higher meds and accomodations cost, and additionally I'm not able to take commission anymore. The fatigue, pain and weakness along with the state of my hands made me unable to embroider almost at all, and i am pretty much bedbound. My health seems to be at the lowest point it has ever been.

With that, I appreciate any help even more and I hope I'll be able to offer my art in exchange soon. In the meantime, please help me spread this post around?

Guess who needs this new oxygen generator ASAP and can't put it away anymore? Yeah.

I'm sorry to keep asking again but I need like 2k PLN (around 500€) really quick so I can buy used stationary one, and figure how to get portable one later, since the one I have has flow too low enough that it's a bit dangerous for me to continue with, especially at night.

I wrote this last addition on 2h of sleep, lots of pain meds and brain fog so sorry it incomprehensible. I fixed it a bit so it actually makes sense now lol.

Needing the generator is obviously not a new thing, but I could survive without it before. Now I can't. So I plan on getting this bigass one you see on hospital pictures as it's cheaper, tho still expensive. Portable ones with flow I need run around 15k PLN and rn i can't even dream about getting it, but at least I don't go out at all because it's too risky, so I'll be okay for a while and will figure something out.

Guys!! I got it!! I am getting a new stationary oxygen generator and it is all thanks to you!! It’s an amazing help and I hope my life will be easier now.

I am gonna run this fundraiser for a moment longer, because even with all the help, to get it this soon we had to spend all our money for the month and I need help with meds. (And I do still need other things mentioned in the OP, but I am for a moment putting it away so not to overuse your kindness. And you were so kind I don’t even think I deserve all that). But I am in a much better situation and definitely safer now.

amid the celebrations about the queen probably dying soon, we need to remember how this will negatively affect the country. there will be millions spent on a funeral and charles’s coronation while we are in the middle of a severe economic crisis and working class families are having to choose between heating and food. it will take attention away from all the important politics and parliament may be suspended. all news and television will be about her death and her reign — it’s been said that comedy programmes will be cancelled for potentially up to a fortnight out of ‘respect’.
