Few poets speak of Her, even fewer invoke Her by name. She is a young god, younger than all Olympus and yet equally as feared by some for the power she wields.

She does not begrudge the lack of praises, the empty void of libations upon a nameless altar. She is like her father in this manner — unable to be swayed or manipulated by the hymns or material goods of man.

She is but a desperate wish on the lips of the dying, a weak request in their final moments. And for some, she stands guard between the unwavering shears of Atropos and the hateful hands of Thanatos. And some say she buys the dying a few seconds more, just until the gaze of Atropos turns away and Thanatos slips back into shadow and they are guaranteed to see the next dawn.

Yet not all can be saved by her touch for she is not fool enough to begrudge her Elders their rights once too many. But those she defends go gently unto Death, a Daughter’s hands to ease their suffering & entrust their soul to Thanatos as family and friend.

She, like others, is known by many epithets.

The Gods call her ❝ σκιά μοίρας .❞ a Shadow of Fate.

Warrior and guardian. Trickster and rascal.

She waits with gentle touch for the just and corresponding mercilessness for the corrupt. A paradox, she stands as the middle ground. Neither life nor death, but a terrifying in between.
