Chocolate-Chip Cookies. My Treat. (Felicity/Max)

I was adoring this little small-town cafe.

It wasn't much of a place.  Suppose you could call it a 'hole-in-the-wall' sort of joint, seeing as it was sharing building space with a furniture store, a jewelry store, and a group of seedy-looking apartments, on its left, right, and above it, respectfully, literally making the small, black door into the cafe seem like a literal hole in the wall.  But it was a nice place.  I didn't have to say 'Grande' to get a large, and the guy they had busing tables had the nicest ass...  I could sit here for hours, sipping, watching, and... Blogging.

Yes, I, Felicity Nightingale, have a blog.  And I use it.  Shocker of the century, I know.  And after all my conspiracy theories about social media, too.

But it was a necessary evil, if I wanted to finally meet the famous Maximum Ride, that is.  I glanced down at my bag for the hundredth time, like I was checking to make sure my documents hadn't grown legs and dicks and ran off to mate with their own kind or something. After spending all that time and hard work collecting them, I'd hate to lose them just when I was on the verge of finally sharing them with someone who might actually be able to use them.

And then there was that one document.  My... Personal project.  I definitely couldn't risk losing that baby.

My eyes traveled back to that fine piece of ass whose owner was bending away from me, trying to reach the farthest part of the booth with his washcloth.

If Max didn't show up, maybe I'd have to see if he was free for the night.  I'd need some place to stay, after all.

Arizona Day 2

I would like to take a moment to thank the lovely young lady at this diner in eastern Arizona for showing me where to find the cacti in this state.

And for that enjoyable half an hour in her car.

And for the cheeseburger.  The cheeseburger was excellent.
