Art of OC, Mina
Art Collab with my sister babu Crazyaniknowit https://crazyaniknowit.deviantart.com/
She drew it for me a while back to color, but it was sitting there for a little while since I didn’t know how I wanted to color it. Then just a couple days ago, my sister/senpai came over and taught me a few things and I used it to jump right into finishing her beautiful drawing.
This pony is my OC, gifted to me by my sister. It’s an original horse species by Vanycat (https://vanycat.deviantart.com/) called Lunarpony (https://lunarpony-stable.deviantart.com/)
This scene was shown in the MLP Movie https://sta.sh/0223b482ikca which I found rather adorable. So I drew something inspired from it. Practiced my shading with lineart, and backgrounds. I'm starting to love giving rainbow highlights in my drawings. This is one of the MOST fun drawings I've ever done. Celestia and Novo = royal pals. I know I'm late but...Happy New Year everyone! I hope this year treats you well! I do not claim these characters. These characters belong completely to their original creators of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic
A drawing of the muscly mares. This was drawn for my previous drawing of Tempest, where in the description I talked about her time at the farm. Been wanting to draw something like this for a while to work on my new shading style.
After a hard day of work, Applejack and Tempest take a break to cool down and chat.
🚨 The FCC plans to kill net neutrality on December 14 🚨
It’s real simple: ISP lobbyists are pushing the FCC to kill net neutrality so phone and cable companies can block apps, slow down websites, and charge fees to control what you see and do online.
Our only chance is congressional pressure and legislative action. But we need grassroots support. Tell your representatives that you support “Title 2” rules and ask for their help protecting a free and open internet.

When I watched the movie, upon seeing the arrival of Tempest, the first thing that surprised me is how far her leg went. I was inspired to draw this pose when I saw and actual pose of a horse doing this, and I immediately pictured either Tempest or Applejack. I might end up making another bucking picture of Applejack and put them together. I planned on making one with no clothes, then one with her uniform, then another in a cute sports outfit. I may end up posting that version some time later, as I haven't done it yet. I really couldn't decide which version to post so....there are a lot. I really wanted to bring out her muscles, so I went with a different form of shading for this one. (Spoilers for people who have not seen the movie below) I've been hoping that Tempest will end up making an appearance in the show, and if she does, that would be great. I thought that after her reformation, after the battle with the Storm King, she would then need to get comfortable with her new surroundings, and figure out what she is gonna do with herself, now that she no longer works for Storm. I first thought she would stay in Twilight's castle to settle, but then I thought that after it being suggested by Twilight, that Tempest would go to Sweet Apple Acres to relax, spend some time with the few members of the Apple family living there, and just prepare herself to make more friends. Since everyone saw how good her bucking seemed to be, she became a great help in harvesting the apples. Another reason for her to go, to do something she always had done to practice fighting, something she highly enjoyed, and she would be making some pay of her own till she settles, finds her own home, and is comfortable being in Equestria again. The reason it was suggested in the first place was because Tempest was feeling a bit overwhelmed with being around all the ponies in Ponyville, especially since there are always some who still judge. She just felt out of place after being gone so long. So with Applejack giving her a list of rough, tiring chores, Tempest is learning to relax in her new life, and has never felt happier. She sends letters to Twilight when neither can visit. At some point, I pictured Applejack playing Buckball with Applebloom, when she convinces Tempest to try it out (hence the picture), and she is again wowed at Tempest's leg span. That's when she welcomes Applejack to come practice for next seasons Buckball, and Tempest thinks about accepting it. After about a year or two, Tempest is offered to be the first official guard of Twilight's castle, to be a captain. Since Twilight's castle is so empty, and she is the only one with no form of security around the place, Celestia informed her that now would be a good idea. (end of spoilers)
Drawing of my sister's gorgeous OC, Ambrosia Hope I can get to coloring it in the future XD
Starlight and Tempest as Villians
Basically my thoughts on Tempest and Starlight, and who I think is a better villain. Some have said Starlight is better, and they have called her out to be better as she seems more powerful. So I'll get to my thoughts...
I found Starlight to be an okay villain. I myself, like Starlight, however some things about her character make her not as enjoyable as any other character who has been a villain for the mlp series.
Tempest only had one appearance in a movie, so I see why some people's opinion about Tempest is valid. I guess I should say I agree and disagree with the opinion that Starlight was better. I agree to a point that she has had more focus and time on her character. But as a villain, her reasons alone weren't very...satisfying.
Tempest was a talented young Filly with other talented foals to become a student at Celestia's school for talented unicorns. These foals were her friends, and she had more than one that meant something to her. They tossed the ball to each other to practice, it was their little thing they did together as friends. But after she lost her horn being brave for her friends, everything changed. Her friends left her, because they were scared of her Inability to control her magic. As the movie shows, as soon as she tried to play with them, they simply run off. They didn't support her, they weren't there for her. She was actually abandoned. And you see the other two have replaced Tempest with another foal, practicing magic with the ball like they used to with Tempest, only now with a complete stranger. That would hurt.
Now for Starlight, I understand how it must have hurt for her to have lost a friend over a cutie mark. However, how it happened to make her into a crazed pony forcing equality by taking cutie marks, I have to say could have been done a bit better. Cause here is the thing. She never lost Sun Burst. He simply went off to school. Starlight has a friend who goes off to school for talented unicorns because of his talent. He did not abandon her, he simply went off to learn. And Starlight took it way too deeply. It was one pony. She was not constantly losing friends because of cutie marks. In reality, she got upset over a pony who went to school because of his cutie mark. If they were so close, I'm sure Sun Burst had plans to write, and even return. He wasn't going to just shut off their friendship like that. But she already decided to abandon her home(and her parents wherever they are lol) over one thing. So it was too late for that. Starlight should have been happy for her friend. Sun Burst still wanted to be friends later on in the show, he had nothing against her. He never, ever abandoned her.
Another thing is, Starlight never tried to make another friend before she decided to find a village and take their cutie marks. It's not...bad, exactly, that she did this over one friend who never really left her. But if it at least happened to her again before she did that, it would be...more understandable for her to have obtained this fear of losing a friend because of a cutie mark. And it was never his cutie mark, it was because he was talented. Not every unicorn is gonna be as talented he supposedly was. When in the end, he never was as powerful and was just living an ordinary pony life. If Starlight hadn't given up so easily, she wouldn't have had to go through all that.
Yet Tempest, she didn't run away immediately. She stayed and was sad because she couldn't be accepted to be with her friends in Celestia's school. She waited, and her friends came to her, yet abandoned her in just a few seconds of seeing how bad the damage was, after they themselves had Tempest go in to fetch a ball, which caused her to lose her horn, and her whole life in the first place.
Starlight had nothing preventing her from making new friends, looking for what she was best at, and she even gets a cutie mark. Tempest lost her chance to do anything, she doesn't even have a cutie mark(at least that's what I think for now as in the comic and her toys she isn't shown to have one). She never got it because without her horn, she thought she could do nothing. As she wanted to learn magic, she wanted to be with her friends. She was brave for her friends, and lost her dream, her friends. Starlight simply had one friend go off to school after learning his talent and now cutie marks are terrible in her eyes.
Starlight lived in a village. There were other ponies, other foals. She was not alone. She could see how all these ponies had cutie marks, and yet they were all still together. Everyone was afraid of Tempest, no one wanted to approach her because of her uncontrollable horn.
Tempest lost everything, and didn't have a choice but to run away, because her kind was afraid of her. Meanwhile Starlight had one friend go away, and still had many opportunities to try something else. Starlight is powerful. She kept a time spell going, levitated herself, and fought Twilight with equal power. She could have gone with Sun Burst if she had wanted to. But she didn't.
Starlight isn't the worst villain, or bad, but she isn't the best. If you think so that's great! And I think she was an okay villain. I simply found Tempest's reasons to be more realistic than Starlight's. Which is why I find her a better villain.
Twilight's friend, Moon Dancer, Twilight did end up rejecting(unintentionally since she was so buried in her studies to notice) her friend. And it did make Moon Dancer push away her friends because she felt hurt. But even though she was hurt, losing one friend didn't make her become evil. I think that is a bit extreme.
As a character. She's a pretty good character and see that she has more screen time, so she had more focus than Tempest. Starlight isn't a favorite of mine, but I think she's okay. Hope this doesn't come across as "I don't like Starlight", I do, I even ship Sun Burst and her cause the art is cute. I just feel that with her background as a villain, Tempest's was better.
I don't feel power is something to compare their quality as characters to. Unless it's someone like the Storm King. He was only powerful because of a staff. However, I personally like villians who aren't as powerful, who have weaknesses and struggles. Especially someone like Tempest, who lost that power. Starlight is powerful, and she did activate a time spell. But she didn't make it herself. She used Starswirls spell and altered it a bit. And it would have backfired on her. Because if she ripped that scroll, she would be alone in a never ending world of dust. While Tempest succeeded, she got all three princesses, and managed to take their magic, like Tirek. Her only fault is trusting the Storm King in my opinion. I think she could have totally taken over since the Storm King was so weak.
Starlight is powerful, but a bit unwise in her decision. If she heard all that Twilight and her friends had done to stop evil, then she should have known that those evils would have prevailed. And from that fact that in the end, if Starlight succeeded in keeping them apart, the villains reined, and the Equestrian was left in ruin, it seems she herself wasn't powerful to stop them herself.
