ATTN: New followers here because of that other post.
This is the Delta Green blog of @humanstein. I would say sideblog but it's frankly my main blog. Follows and reblogs will come from there.
Welcome to the conspiracy.
NEED TO KNOW: Delta Green is a horror tabletop RPG set in modern day America and drenched in cosmic horror and high strangeness. The elevator pitch is usually "The X-Files but the aliens are Lovecraftian existential horrors." (and also you're basically the Syndicate) or maybe "True Detective but It Was All Real".
It's a game where practically every conspiracy is true but the deepest truths those conspiracies obscure up are often more horrible than anything humanity could dream up.
Per the publishers:
Innocence is a luxury.
Deception is a right.
Truth is a privilege.
Born of the U.S. government’s 1928 raid on the degenerate coastal town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts, the covert agency known as Delta Green opposes the forces of darkness with honor, but without glory. Delta Green agents slip through the system, manipulating the federal bureaucracy while pushing the darkness back for another day — but often at a shattering personal cost.
In practice, this blog is primarily a tone study in the types of horror and mood I like to bring to games of Delta Green. That involves a lot of horrific imagery, cosmic horror, aesthetic scene setting, as well as a healthy dose of espionage, tradecraft, and conspiracy, mired in the proverbial Alphabet Soup of intelligence agencies.
This blog also increasingly concerns itself with parapolitics, deep events, federal abuses, and state crime more broadly.
In other words, expect spooky things but also spooky things.
There are people arguing about stuff you can't imagine in my notes.
Welcome to the conspiracy, folks.
