War-hero Harry Potter travels with his fiancé Edward to Italy on their premarital honeymoon.

Harry, abandoned by his fiancé because of "work meetings", wanders through the streets of Verona, stumbling across a courtyard where thousands of people have left "letters to Juliet", requesting advice on their affairs of the heart.

Harry discovers an unanswered letter written to "Juliet" 50 years ago, from Druella Rosier, about a young Italian she fell in love with. Harry writes back to Druella, suggesting she return to Verona to find her lost love.

3. Homophobic Ted (not passively but like actively)

5. Will saying he forgives Mike before Mike finishes apologizing

6. Will saying he loves Mike anyway

7. A specific weird way they treat Will dating other people especially in college Bylr or post college Bylr (like him seeing other men solely for sex)

8. Lack of mention of Will’s eyelashes, hazel eyes, or soft demeanor in general

9. Mike getting vecnaed. MIKE GETTING VECNAED

10. Mike expressing insecurity with his kissing in fics where Will has not kissed anyone yet.

I hate this one the most. Not only does it generalize women’s bodies, it’s very Eurocentric implying that having a more stronger jawline makes someone more masculine or having bigger arms makes them masculine or literally any of the above. Also they make El smaller and more delicate than she is in these fics (the cishet yt woman treatment). And strip Will of his delicate expressions and mannerisms all to make Mike seem more gay. Like no, he likes feminine men deal with it.

I’m so confused but maybe it’s bc i have only read like 4 byler fanfics and rlly loved them… but can i ask a few questions?

Why is it bad when Mike has a crush on Eddie? Tbh i actually think he had a “puppy”, idealized crush in the show (if you read between the lines obviously, i know in canon he’s meant to be straight).

Why is Mike getting Vecna’d bad? I think this could be done in a rlly interesting way!

What’s wrong with Mike having long hair? Or Mike being feminine? Especially when Mike had lowkey longer hair in s4 and Finn said he was “trying to be normal”, i think it’s great when he’s allowed to express himself however he wants. Ofc Will as well! Both of them should be allowed to be as feminine or masculine as they want.

What’s wrong with suicidal Mike? Wasn’t he a bit canonically suicidal in s1 when he was willing to jump off a cliff? Could he not potentially become suicidal again in the future after all the events that happen in s5 or him realizing he’s gay? (I say this as someone who’s been through this shit lol).

The rest of them yeah i agree are pretty weird.
