THE BEAR SEASON 5 TRAILER!!!
I’ll never be over them or this scene I fear.
🎶: Is This Empathy by Mega Simone
Guys , I actually know why they are not promoting the bear s5 , because disney+ spoiled the plot of sydcarmy s5 last year ,and that´s enough and they don´t need to spoil any others plots , because the big one was spoiled ..... ,
"I LOVE YOU SO MUCH"
SYDCARMY IN 5
I'm genuinely crying! LOOK AT MY BABY!
Sydney Adamu, I love you so much, I'm gonna carry you with me for the rest of my life, my dear angel.
"I started respecting Martha when she finally chose herself and left the TARDIS" blah blah.
The thing is, 99% of what Martha does throughout her run is the exact opposite of prioritizing herself. And honestly, even her departure wasn't primarily about her. It was about her family.
The "I'm doing this for me" argument was the cherry on top, not the whole cake.
Porque duvido muito que Martha teria deixado o Doutor se sua família não tivesse ficado em uma situação tão terrível depois de tudo o que aconteceu.
People are way too quick to read her exit as a purely self-care moment. What I see is Martha once again putting other people before what she wanted. This time, it was her family.
If he'd worshipped the ground she walked on, she'd still choose her family. If he'd been the perfect partner, she'd still choose her family. If they were married with two kids and a cat, she'd be loading the kids and the cat into the car before he even finished saying "but Martha-" ☝️
And that's not something I'm ever going to stop seeing as a major part of why she left.
It just occurred to me that all the people who have ever told Carmy they love him are also the ones who have harmed him in some way. I think that's one of the reasons every “I love you” from Richie felt like a punch to the throat in their fridge fight.
Claire said “I love you” while also being capable of minimizing his struggles and even mocking him. And we know how both Donna and Mikry weaponized those words, too, to make Carmen give in to the abuse. And as much as I love Richie, he was enabling both Donna and Mikey as he grew up, he actively engaged on it and imitated it, resulting in the blaming and passive agression that is part of their present dynamic.
All this to say I NEED Carmy to tell Sydney he loves her, without blackmail, without stress, without doubt, fully free, fully hopeful.
I’m a simple person: I refresh the sydcarmy tags like a maniac to see if there’s any new shit about this fucking trailer.
ayo joked : it´s all a dream !!!
carmen dream was the bear
sydney is the bear (carmen said it )
so carmen dream girl is sydney ..........
I solved the first puzzle ......
the math is mathing .....
IN DEFENSE OF SYDNEY ADAMU. THE BEAR
She couldn't help that she had a crush and admired Carmy's work
Who amongst us has not admired someone intensely
Met them
Worked with them
Then got disappointed
Don't play that lyric line around Sydney
She stayed longer than she ought because it's HER DREAM TOO!
I’ll always love that first scene of Syd arriving with her eyes shining, so excited to meet her idol 🥺🤏 She had so much hope that things would be easy from then on. I’ll never forgive all the hardship they put her through.
Sometimes I wonder if Syd and Carmy are Iike that because of bad directing. It’s okay to tell Jaw and Ayo to stop looking at each other like that if it’s not the story you’re telling.
This is has been my theory as well ! It is a directors job to competently assess what you are putting on the screen and mold it accordingly ( competently being the operative word. )
Control what you put on screen, Ayo and Jeremy are both capable performers, they could reel it in, if a romance subplot is not what you want !
I think the better option would be to revel in the obscene amount of natural chemistry that you have (which is not easy to come by ) and lean into that but I am just some bitch in the internet, what do I know 🤷🏾♀️ ?
Exactly! I know they say editing can totally change a show too but everything on the screen is under their control.
The Charlie gif is perfect because I feel like they lean into it for engagement and promo then act like you’re crazy for even thinking about it.
@isityouorme yup! I know that for film many directors are in the rooms with their editors. I’d imagine the same is true for Storer. So he’s had ample opportunity to course correct. I really wanna know what is going on in his mind.
so many popular examples of fandom racism are barely actual fandom brand racism bcs white ppl (and honestly too many non black ppl) need outright in your face blatant stuff as proof to shocked and appalled by. most of it is the classic "I'm not touching you style" that's easier to gaslight around which is what a majority of racism is, gaslighting. slave fics a tortureporn of characters of color are awful but that's like individual weirdos who it's easy to mark off as obviously racist. The attention and outrage surrounding these little incidents allows everyone to feel better because of how exaggerated and one off they are, bad eggs in a good batch etc.
Real fandom racism is watching the darkest characters get boxed into the specific outsider pov trope over and over despite them being a core member of the cast. it's watching everyone have in depth headcanons for every character but them, denying them the complexity their counterparts get. It's them getting written out of their own plots, receiving little to no audience sympathy when they ARE complex, and, most importantly, watching them get cast in the same exact role when shipping comes in
but all this isn't loud, it's quiet and unnoticeable unless you've had to watch it play out with every favorite character you've had ever since you were ten and started engaging with fandom. it's repetitive, uncreative, infuriating and worst of all NOBODY WILL LISTEN WHEN YOU POINT IT OUT because you're just imagining it and they're not touching you. I've been making my own content and I've seen how people will go out of their way NOT to engage or engage specifically only to discredit a character of color.
it's not a one off thing or even a small pattern, it is what fandom culture is BUILT on, picking the palest skinniest most pathetic looking man in the cast, projecting onto him and ignoring literally everyone and everything else whether that be fanon over plot or the interesting female or darker skinned characters and masking racism behind fanon tropes
The Racist Fandom Starter Pack
A canon interracial couple exists "I just don't see their chemistry" proceeds to fanon ship [insert white character] instead, claiming they have more of a connection.
"It's not their skin color, I just don't like them for some reason, btw, here are my top 5 [insert white actors] I think are better suited"
"Not everything is about race". They say, as they prop up every white character over any character of color.
"Please stop bring race drama into the fandom". Which translates to, I'm comfortable in my racism and don't appreciate any criticism, thanks!
White person, "Yeah, I wrote character of color as an animal, doesn't make me racist".
"I love character of color, here's a fic where they act like as [insert white characters] servant/therapist".
Character of color is such a bad friend for having opinions of their own/taking care of themselves instead of putting their friend [insert white character] first.
A character of color is morally ambiguous or a villain, gets redemption arc. "They're awful and haven't been condemned enough of their crimes". Stans [insert white characters] who did the exact same crimes or was a villain who's redemption arc is praised.
"Can't believe that character of color had the nerve not to die as a selfless sacrifice for [insert white character]".
"POC actress/actor is too ethnic and they'd ruin the character".
"I haven't seen racism in the fandom therefore it isn't there".
"Character of color is the main character of the show sure, but let's be honest, everyone came for [insert white character]
"Character of color is alright but I can only relate to [insert white character]".
Feel free to add more, that you've come across. Sadly, it all runs together after awhile of being in a lot of fandoms. Special shout out to all who helped me with these comments!
"making character Black is inaccurate/offensive! I'm not racist, it's just facts!"
Here's another study I did of "The Bear" TV Show, this time I really wanted to draw Carmy and Sydney.
