I just remembered that before the Nest Jean loved Exy "fiercely and violently"

Now It is a burden to him

Even though the conditions in the Nest were extreme, I always feel like killing the passion of a child is one of the most horrible consequences of abusive coaching

There was this small child and they loved to do that sport. It made them feel great, confident happy. And this child trusts this passion in the hands of the people who are supposed to coach them, only for It to be destroyed and tarnished.

Transforming what was before a form of joy into fear, exhaustion and pain is trully one of the most unforgivable aspects of It all. It isnt just trauma, it is trauma that attaches itself to what was supposed to be good and stains It forever.

I hope Jean finds his passion back, not because I want him to go to play professionally or go to the olympics, but because I want him to take back this part of himself. I want him to transform what was once used to hurt him back into a source of joy (and there is no team better to do this than the Trojans).
