OverDrive adds bestselling Japanese eBooks for libraries and schools worldwide
Strategic alliance with MediaDo extends OverDrive network and catalog to Japan as well
OverDrive, the world’s leading digital platform for libraries and schools, today announced a strategic alliance with top Japanese publisher aggregator MediaDo. The alliance, called OverDrive Japan, will enable distribution of popular and bestselling Japanese content, including manga and adult fiction, through the OverDrive network of libraries and schools worldwide. In addition, the new venture extends the OverDrive platform and catalog of more than 1 million eBook and audiobook titles to Japanese libraries and schools…
“We are honored to join MediaDo in forming OverDrive Japan,” said Steve Potash, OverDrive’s CEO. “Japanese content has proven popular throughout the world, and we are delighted to lead the world in making it available to libraries and schools around the world, initially in the Japanese language and ultimately in English and other languages via translation.”
Checked this morning on 3 library systems but didn't see any proof of this yet. =/
Excited for when it does though! Tadoku starts again in June, you know.

Haven't posted much these last few months - it's just that lately I've felt more that I should be studying instead of talking about studying, haha. I think, moving forward, I'm gonna try for a more photoblog approach - posting pictures of my JP study process + a small caption, and not worry about explaining everything.
I've been experimenting with a new grammar deck these past couple of days. Like anything I do in Anki, it uses CSS.
Occasionally I get anonymous pms asking me how to change the backgrounds in Anki cards. This also uses CSS (ie "Styling").
.card { background: url('_woood.jpg') fixed;}
where _woood.jpg is your background image. Google some CSS tutorials for more advanced stuff.
edit: I typed this grammar deck, using the sentences from 完全マスター2級文法 & notes from どんな時どう使う 日本語表現文型辞典.
Stuff I Read during Tadoku
Lots of NHK/FNN news articles

^ studying vocab on my tablet
Nearly 11 months ago I posted my vocab study method here. Several thousand words later, it's pretty much the same still, lol. I've been reading a lot more though. I'll post more about it after Tadoku ends (Jan 31st!)

Hello, I really love your blog! Um, I'm learning Japanese, too. I want to watch Jdramas and Jmovies but don't really know which ones are better or how can I find them online with Japanese subtitles. Do you have a site that you use? Also I want to learn Chinese, too, but I don't know which books are good. Could you suggest me some materials for that in English or Japanese? Thanks!
Dramas: I usually read blogs like Jdrama Weblog and just find them on D-Addicts.
I'm not too sure about other Chinese textbooks, but I used the 3rd ed. of Integrated Chinese Level 1 (2 textbooks, 2 workbooks) for class.
Took a newer picture of my study stuff:
laptop
grammar book (どんな時どう使う 日本語表現文型辞典)
zune, earbuds
kindle Paperwhite (1st gen)
一分間勉強法
notebook, pen, highlighter
I don't bring my laptop or grammar book around much lately though, since it's Tadoku and I feel I should be reading instead. D:
