Sougo hesitates, his heart beating in a frenzy (presumably out of his own anxiousness) and fingers shaking as his fingers lithely balance the gift box he prepared for TRIGGER’s leader.
They are on… decent, but ambiguous, terms with each other at this point. Sougo sighs, willing his heart to stop its incessant pounding and calm down for once. He’s definitely at the point where he can give a gift to him casually, but he knows old habits are hard to break. He’s always been dedicated to sending a birthday gift to all members of TRIGGER on their respective birthdays– anonymously. He’s determined to keep up with the tradition, but this time he’ll be able to guarantee its arrival. He inhales in a large mass of air, then exhales. Feeling he’s adequately calm enough to knock on the door only to leave–
No, that’s… too rude. He shouldn’t underestimate their relationship at this point. Technically they’ve already went on dates, whether Gaku likes it or not. He steels his will, mentally preparing himself in his head again as he hesitantly brings his finger to the doorbell.
Face completely red, he presses his finger against the button. He’s already given his official congratulations to him over in the rabbit chats his Manager conducted for him, but giving him an actual gift like this seems strange, doesn’t it? He looks down at the folded letter he tucked into one of the ribbons. Yes, he’ll shove the present in Gaku’s hands, avoid eye contact, and leave.
Per Gaku’s interest in Sougo’s taste in music, Sougo compliled some of his favorite albums as a gift– he can only hope he likes it. Happy Birthday, Yaotome-san.
happy birthday, @nijinookakera.
While that anxious show is going on outside of the building, Gaku is currently backreading all the text messages that he had been sent that day, screencapping a few of them to read through in the future. TRIGGER’s leader lingers longingly over Tsumugi’s messages, before reading through the rest that the others sent, since it had been part of a group chat.
Having TRIGGER, his close friends, his family, and yes, even his dad, and especially his fans, all give him such a warm thanks for his birth brought a happiness each year on this day that went up there on the nights during live performances, knowing that he gave them so much, that everyone wanted to return it back to him. Right now, Gaku had a stupid smile on his face that even Tenn would make fun of, but for once in a modicum nicer tone today.
Looks up the moment he hears the doorbell. It shouldn’t be another delivery, should it? Then again, there’s always been that anonymous present near the end of the day, wrapped up elegantly, each CD from another new artist that Gaku had never heard of before. Not saying that sounds like an Osaka thing, but--
When he opens to answer the door, Gaku had both a thought that it would be another present left at the door, like the year past, then seeing Osaka standing there, a rush of feelings that he stared when he saw that there was no wig on.
“Osaka?” Gaku questioned unintelligibly, hand lingering on the door frame, while wondering why the other is here when he had already given his birthday wishes in the chat. It had been long, but full of the passion as expected of the normally held back TRIGGER fan. “Is there something else you needed to say to me in person?”
