As a British person, there’s so many traits in George Russell that remind me of my older brother and his mates. Genuinely the way he talks shit/ is sassy doesn’t give snooty, it gives British lad that’s not terrified of being labelled gay or effeminate. I think he can come across as rude and bitchy but I don’t think he’s fake. Even though he scripted that iconic ‘borderline violence😭’ speech, I think it was born out of genuine feelings. This weird wattpadesque British gentleman thing is projected onto him because in terms of imagery, he markets himself as someone very proper and put together with the old money type style but that’s not how he behaves in interviews/ on camera. Even when carefully choosing his words he sounded ridiculous 💀

Obviously, you don’t have to like any of the F1 drivers, I just get annoyed when people don’t like George for superficial reasons that are essentially cultural differences and the tendency for outsiders to misunderstand the British class system in which a multi millionaire is still not considered part of the ‘in group’ unless they come from the right inbred family. He’s no ‘working class hero’, not be a million miles but a lot of boys are born in the uk who are destined to inherit the title of ‘Duke’ or ‘Baron’ or ‘Viscount’ with fortunes to match and they don’t even make half as much of themselves…
